  15. I was just pondering Gerry drivel instead of working, when an
  16. incredible revelation made its presence in my cranium known
  17. to me.  Indeed, yea and verily, the following Gerry drivel
  18. is the critical piece of information, the key datum that makes
  19. all clear:

  24. Do you remember the Star Trek episode with the "friendly angel"
  25. who makes all the kids on the planet surface want to kill Kirk 
  26. as well as the rest of of adultery?  Do you remember how they 
  27. summoned him?  Do you know how the hated Purple PBS Beast/666 (tm) 
  28. appears at the beginning of his brainwashing sessions -- 
  29. I mean TV shows?  This incredible revelation is just too 
  30. astounding and incredible.  Let's see, how does the chant go?

  34.     Far away, far to see
  35.     Friendly Angel come to me

  37. It's so simple its brilliant!  It all fits together now -- 
  38. Barney, the Weekly World News, the Horse-Boy, Baby Bop, Gerry,
  39. Gene Roddenberry, Kirk, Picard, Rush Limbaugh, the grassy knoll, 
  40. shrimp, plate, plate of shrimp, Gilbert Gottfried, PBS, 
  41. Bill Moyers, men finding themselves, the Borg, assimilation -- 
  42.

  45. You see, after that Star Trek episode, we know what this Angel
  46. guy looks like.  His goal remains the same, to destroy all that 
  47. is mature and intelligent and stain free, but we KNOW this guy 
  48. after Roddenberry alerted us to the danger.  But now he's on PBS in 
  49. a purple freak outfit (tm) so we don't recognize him.  As if this 
  50. wasn't enough, there's more.  Wesley Crusher is in fact an agent 
  51. sent by Barney to infiltrate The Next Generation.  His mission?  
  52. To exact revenge from the show that forced Barney/Friendly Angel 
  53. to don the hateful purple fungus suit (tm).  Wesley is there to 
  54. sabotage otherwise successful plots with his weasely, weeny-esque 
  55. presence.  If Barney/Friendly Angel were to do the job himself, 
  56. then Next Generation cast members would figure out it was him from 
  57. their tricorder readings and kill him with their phasers, or maybe 
  58. a well-placed photon torpedo.
