  9. CD-Box is, stated simply, a program which plays back music files on
  10.   the AdLib Music Synthetizer Card and the SoundBlaster card.
  11.   However, it is also very pretty and fun to use - it runs in 256
  12.   colors and can use your mouse.
  13.  
  14. CD-Box's main features:
  15.  
  16. - A pretty ray-traced interface and fun animation - CDs pop up and
  17.     down and start and stop spinning, pages scroll... including
  18.     random events I'll let you discover!
  19.  
  20. - Support for .CMF, .MID, .MOD, .MUS, .ROL, .VOC and .WAV
  21.     music/sound files (.CMF, .MOD, .VOC and .WAV files work with
  22.     SoundBlaster only) in multiple drive/directories. These files
  23.     can also be stored in .ARC, .ARJ, .PAK and/or .ZIP files to
  24.     save disk space - CD-Box will find them and play them from the
  25.     archive (using a RAM drive if you want). There are also volume
  26.     control, skipping forward and backward and echo effects
  27.     available for some formats.

  29. - CD-Box allows you to easily program a selection of songs; it waits
  30.     for you to select the songs you want to hear before starting to
  31.     play the first one.

  33. - Instead of selecting songs, you can tell CD-Box how long you want
  34.     the playback to last, and it will automatically select songs for
  35.     you.  You can even do that from the DOS command line (or a batch
  36.     file), and CD-Box will play the songs, then exit right back to
  37.     DOS.

  39. - CD-Box makes it easy to choose files in which to pick songs - so
  40.     if you ARJed or ZIPped your songs by category, you can tell
  41.     CD-Box which categories to use!

  43. - No data file to keep to date; bank filenames and song titles can
  44.     be modified directly from CD-Box, which will save your changes
  45.     to disk.  CD-Box also knows the titles and lengths of numerous
  46.     songs, and when it encounters unknown songs, can sometimes (it
  47.     depends on the format) extract data from the files on disk.
