  11.        INTRODUCTON
  12.  
  13.        This easy-to-use shareware program produces surprisingly accurate,
  14.        in-depth personality reports based on names and birth dates.
  15.        Professional looking reports run 6 to 8 pages and reveal the most
  16.        intimate traits and desires for yourself, friends, family, lovers
  17.        and even co-workers. The program uses advanced techniques to
  18.        integrate all related numbers, similar to what professional
  19.        numerologists do when performing personal readings. By going
  20.        beyond the simple "cookbook" approach as used by other programs,
  21.        reports are surprisingly accurate and relevant.

  23.        Each report includes detailed descriptions of the Life Path,
  24.        Expression, Soul Urge, Birthday, Master Numbers, Repeated Numbers,
  25.        Karmic Debts, Karmic and Modified Karmic Lessons and Intensity
  26.        Points. The program is the work of Matthew Oliver Goodwin, the
  27.        highly respected numerologist and author of the definitive,
  28.        "Numerology: The Complete Guide." An earlier version of Personal
  29.        Numerologist was offered in the Selective Software catalog.

  32.        PRINTING README AND DOCUMENTATION FILES

  34.        To print this readme file on a printer connected to port LPT1:,
  35.        enter the following command from the DOS prompt:

  39.        After running the INSTALL program described below, you can make a
  40.        printed copy of the User's Manual by entering the command:

  44.        and you can make a printed copy of our Product Catalog of related
  45.        numerology software and books by entering the command:

  50.        The Personal Numerologist program consists of about 34 files that
  51.        are shipped in compressed format. In addition, there are another 9
  52.        files that are compressed for the program User's Manual and
  53.        Catalog. An INSTALL program is included to decompress these files.
  54.        (The file PACKING.LST contains a complete listing of the contents
  55.        of the program after decompressing.) In addition, the following

  62.        documentation files should be separately included on the
  63.        distribution disk:

  70.        NOTE:  If you obtained this program through a BBS, it was probably
  71.               in ZIP format as NUMROLGY.ZIP. In this case all the files
  72.               are contained in NUMROLGY.ZIP instead. The PACKING.LST file
  73.               gives a complete list of the files you should have after
  74.               UNZIPPING this file.

  76.               The following installation instructions only apply if you
  77.               received Personal Numerologist on a diskette. If you
  78.               downloaded the program from a BBS, just UNZIP the files and
  79.               enter PN from the DOS prompt to start.

  82.        INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
  83.  
  84.        An installation program is provided to make it easy to setup
  85.        Personal Numerologist. If you are using a hard disk, this program
  86.        will decompress and copy all files from the original diskette into
  87.        the sub-directory \PN. If you are working on either a dual or
  88.        single floppy disk based system, the installation program will
  89.        make a working set of diskette(s) for you to use.
  90.  
  91.        To begin the installation, make sure you are at the DOS prompt
  92.        (exit Windows or any DOS Shell program that you may be in.) Next,
  93.        insert the Personal Numerologist disk into floppy drive A or B.
  94.        Then go to this drive by typing A: or B: followed by ENTER.
  95.        Finally, type in the command:
  96.  
  97.             INSTALL
  98.  
  99.        and press the ENTER key.
  100.  
  101.        Two screens of information appear that give complete instructions
  102.        on using the INSTALL program. The second screen is reached by
  103.        pressing any key after reading the first screen. The second screen
  104.        contains the actual command line syntax that needs to be entered.
  105.  
  106.        After reading the two screens of instructions, re-enter INSTALL
  107.        with the appropriate command line options to begin the actual
  108.        installation process.
  109.  
  110.        For example, to copy all the files from the Personal Numerologist
  111.        disk in drive A to hard disk drive C, enter the command:

  121.        As a second example, to copy all the files from the Personal
  122.        Numerologist disk in drive A to a 3.5 inch floppy disk in drive B,
  123.        enter the command:

  125.             INSTALL A B 3
  126.  
  127.        The program will prompt you whenever you need to do something.
  128.  
  129.        After the installation is completed, start Personal Numerologist
  130.        by entering the following command from the DOS prompt:

  132.             PN
  133.  
  134.        The first time you run Personal Numerologist answer Y to the first
  135.        program prompt:
  136.  
  137.             "Do you want INSTRUCTIONS (Y/N)?"
  138.  
  139.        This will give you enough information to successfully use the
  140.        program without reading the manual. When you are ready, the manual
  141.        will provide additional information that may be helpful.

  144.        SHAREWARE AND HOW IT WORKS
  145.  
  146.        Personal Numerologist is distributed as a Shareware program.
  147.        Shareware is software which is provided to you on a "try before
  148.        you buy" basis. It is not free software! We request registration
  149.        fees from those who try this program and decide they will continue
  150.        to use it. (We do not receive payments from retail stores, disk
  151.        vendors or BBSs who you may have already paid a small
  152.        "distribution" fee to for the program diskette or downloaded
  153.        files.) Because we do not have to pay the high cost of
  154.        advertising, the fees we charge for registration are modest in
  155.        comparison to commerically available programs. This fee also
  156.        allows us to develop new programs that may be of interest to you.

  158.        With Personal Numerologist you have the convenience of trying out
  159.        the complete program to decide if you want to keep it. This is not
  160.        a crippled or demo copy, but the complete working version of the
  161.        program. Only if you are satisfied and continue to use the program
  162.        do you need to pay for it. You are encouraged to copy the Personal
  163.        Numerologist diskette and share it freely with others.

  165.        After you have used Personal Numerologist for a reasonable
  166.        evaluation period (not to exceed 60 days) you must either stop
  167.        using it or buy a registered copy from Widening Horizons. The
  168.        registered copy costs $39 (U.S. funds) plus $6 shipping/handling
  169.        for U.S. and Canada and $10 shipping/handling for all other
