    Main Screen Color. This is the Main color used on the screens.

    Error Color. This is the color that the Error Boxes Use.

Get Default Directories.

    Data Directory. Where Printer Setup, Help, and Text Files are kept.

    User Directory. Where the Files that are created when you compile a
    chart are written. When you print a file to disk or convert a file
    to Word Processing it is by default saved here. Uses a subdirectory

Customize Font Info.

     This screen allows you to use custom downloaded fonts and modify
     font setup information to support fonts Numero Uno doesn't recognize.

     Font Name. This is the Name of the font. It is for your information
     only and Numero Uno doesn't use it.
     Family. This is the font family number that is used to select the font.
     Pitch. This is -1 for a proportional font or the closest whole pitch
     for the font.
     Size. This is the size of the font. It must be a size that this font
     has or supports. Numero Uno doesn't scale fonts.
     Symbol Set. This is either the symbol set that FontInfo gives you or
     12 indication you are specifying a symbol set below.
     Symbol Set Name. This is the technical name for the symbol set. It
     must end in a capital letter.
     Regular Weight. This is a value given by FontInfo. It is usually 0
     for a regular font, -1 for a light font.
     Bold Weight. This is not used by Numero Uno at this time but is usually
     3 or 4 greater than Regular Weight.
     Average Character Width (Decipoints). This is the average character
     width of generally lowercase letters. This is measured in tenths
     of a point (1/72") or 1/720s"

    This selects how line are ended on your printer. If Your printer
    Adds a Line Feed to every Carriage Return, this should be "Carriage

    Feed Only" works as many printers add a carriage return to a single
    line feed. If your printouts come out jumbled try changing this field.

       Use this function to enter information about
       converting Numero Uno files to ASCII or to other word
       processing formats.

Save Data To Disk.

     This function allows you to name a file to save all the Data entered
     in these menus to. This allows you to save the data you have entered
     for a future time. If you don't enter a disk or directory, it will
     be saved to your User disk and Directory. If you save to a file
     N1DAT.DEF, this file will be read Every time Numero Uno starts up.
     Numero Uno saves the contents of the screens to the File N1DAT.HIS
     when you quit, and reloads it when you startup again. This is
     overridden by N1DAT.DEF which takes priority if it exists.

Load Saved Data.

      This function allows you to name a previously saved file and
      load it into memory. This loads data into all the screens. If
      you don't specify a disk or directory, the file is read from
      your User Disk and Directory.

Printer Type.

    This Selects the type of printer that you are using. This can
    either be an Epson or IBM compatible dot matrix printer, or
    HP LaserJet, DeskJet or Compatible Printer. This field will
    also update the control strings below as well. This can also
    be Generic Printer. Generic Printer is used for other printers
    which you don't know control codes for. If You don't know the
    codes or don't understand how they work, use Generic.
    Try to pick the printer that most closely matches your printer.
    These printer choices have many printer options you can select.
    If you have Publisher's Powerpak installed you can choose this
    driver.

    This Selects the type of conversion that is done for converting
    a file. This can be either Plain ASCII, Smart formatted ASCII,
    WordStar 3.x, WordStar 4.x, WordPerfect 4.x, WordPerfect 5.x,
    XYWrite or Microsoft Word (RTF Format). Smart formatted ASCII
    uses the ASCII conversion control strings.

     This function allows you setup your printer, ASCII and

Laser Setup Parameters.

 Font Name. This is the Name of the Font either cartridge, internal or
    soft-font. Press F2 to Select from choices of fonts that may be
    available. You must own this font or it must come with your printer.
    Numero Uno Provides no fonts. This font should also have a bold version

 Size. Set the size of the font you want to use. This must be a size of

  When Numero Uno converts a file to Smart Pseudo formatted ASCII text, Numero Uno
  converts the indications in the file for Head, Bold, Underscore, End
  of Head, End of Bold, and End of Underscore to these strings. You can

  just leave these fields blank. Anything you enter into these fields
  must be typeable on the keyboard. You may not enter printer string as

Printer Conversion Strings.

  Press F2 to select a number of options that your printer can support.
  When you Press OK or Hit the F10 key the options you select will be
  used to create the strings you want.

  When Numero Uno prints a file out on your printer or file, Numero Uno converts the

   Use this function to convert a file to an ascii text file for word
   processing or telecommunications. Though you could do this with a file
   from the printout function, this will not print out any unprintable
   characters to the file, making it easy to edit. Using this function,

   can set the text width, destination, and whether the file is opened or
   appended to an already existing one.

   You can convert a file to a number of word processing formats including:

   these can preserve formatting information for editing.

   There are several different Fonts used By Numero Uno. You can customize
   any one by pressing the Key Listed at the end of the listing for that.

    currrently known by or was known by at the time you wanted to
