The following relates to BocaSoft WipeOut beta release 1.0.
Test Configurations
WipeOut has been tested extensively on OS/2 2.1 beta (March and December)
and OS/2 2.0. Final testing will be carried out on the OS/2 2.1 Golden
version.
Audio Device Contention Problem
WipeOut will yeild the audio device to WIN-OS/2, that is, you can start
WIN-OS/2 with multimedia extensions while WipeOut is running. WIN-OS/2 is
not as kind to WipeOut, when WIN-OS/2 is running you will not get audio
from WipeOut.
Running WipeOut with System Sounds
We have not found problems running BocaSoft System Sounds or the embedded
OS/2 2.1 sounds.
Scroll List Box Problem
A problem has been observed on some configurations where when returning
from a display the user cannot select another display from the list box.
If this problem occurs you can simply scroll the list box using the
vertical scroll, this will allow you to then select another display.
Roach Piggy Back Problem
A problem has been seen where a roach in the "bugged" display will appear
to piggy back another roach on the screen. This won't happen often but is a
known "bug". We don't yet know what effect this has on the roach population.
Lost Audio Problem
There have been some rare cases where audio has stopped playing during a
display. If this occurs you should exit WipeOut and restart it. This
will not effect your system.
