PMVDesk new features and corrected bugs (June 20, 1993)
========================================================
Menu items:
-----------
Check "Float on top" to keep PMVDesk the topmost window. Uncheck to
let it behave as a normal window. You can also use Alt-T.
Check "Retrieve windows on exit" to retrieve windows back to
the active desktop when you exit PMVDesk.
Note. Retrieved windows are hidden. To activate: select application
from Workplace Shell "Window List". Only windows with child windows
(ex. dialog windows) are retrieved visible.
"Util" + "Retrieve windows" to retrieve windows back to the active
desktop.
Note. Retrieved windows are hidden. To activate: select application

ETC:
----
Choose any application from the Workplace Shell "Window List", and
it will be shown in the visible area.
CTRL-ESC now works (brings Workplace Shell "Window List" to
visible area).
PMVDesk now uses its own INI-file for storing its options.
This corrected the problem with 2.1 GA (and beta) not saving
PMVDesk settings.
Help.
Popup menu available when frames are hidden. To activate press
mouse button 2 between the border and the 9-button grid, or
press SHIFT + F10.
Sorry about this. I know it is difficult to get hold of this
popup menu, but I did not find a way to grab mouse clicks on
pushbuttons.
To move the PMVDesk window (when frames are hidden), press mouse
button 1 (between the border and the 9-button grid) and drag the
window. You can also select "Move" from the popup menu "Window"
submenu, or press ALT-F7.
Sorry about this. I know it is difficult to drag the window, but I
did not find a way to grab mouse clicks on pushbuttons.
A semaphore checks that there is only one instance of PMVDesk
running.
New name and some corrections to the documentation.
Known problems:
---------------
If you use the Workplace Shell "Minimize window to Desktop"
option, icons are NOT redrawn, when you move from one virtual
desktop to another.
If you click on the icon title it will be redrawn.
If you open a window or application in one virtual desktop,
and then move to another and either close your application
from the Workplace Shell "Window List" or do a shutdown.
The next time you open your window or application, it will
almost always be positioned off the screen.
To get it back; either try PMVDesk "Util + Retrieve windows",
or "Tile" or "Cascade" from Workplace Shell "Window List".
