This text file contains instructions on how to install "Metric Conversions"
from your hard disk.
If you are reading this then you've already decompressed the program source
files (including this file) into a temporary directory (Ex. C:\TEMPDIR).
To install "Metric Conversions", follow the procedure described below.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
IMPORTANT
To execute "Metric Conversions" and the installation program for
"Metric Conversions", the file "VBRUN200.DLL" is required in your
\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory. This file is available on Compuserve, and is
named "VBRUN2.ZIP". Note that if you've already successfully downloaded and
executed Visual Basic 2.0 shareware, then you already have the file
"VBRUN200.DLL" and do not need to download it again.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Close all running Windows Applications (IMPORTANT).
2) From "Program Manager" open the File Menu and execute the Run
command.
3) Enter the setup program name (SETUP1.EXE), including the
drive\directory. For example, if the source files are located in
the directory "C:\TEMPDIR", then you would enter
"C:\TEMPDIR\SETUP1.EXE".
4) Follow the instructions provided by the "SETUP1.EXE" setup
program. The setup program requests the location of the
pre-installed program files, and the final destination of the
installed "Metric Conversions" program files.
Example: If the pre-installed program files are located in
"C:\TEMPDIR", and you want to install "Metric Conversions for Windows"
in the "C:\METRIC" directory, then "C:\TEMPDIR" and "C:\METRIC" become
the source and destination directories.
5) Execute the "Metric Conversions" program by double clicking the
newly created "Metric Conversions" program icon, located in the
newly created "Metric Conversions" program group.
6) Delete the pre-installed program files and directory. Following
our example, you would delete the "C:\TEMPDIR" directory and its
contents.
