COME AND MEET WITH US
The NSRA meets on the second Monday of the month at the Cy Tenny Club
in West Peabody. Doors open at 7:00pm and the meeting starts at 8:00pm.
The next meeting will be on June 14 and will be our annual Field Day
orientation meeting. Come and see the faces behind the microphone,
participate in our prize raffle, and enjoy some refreshments and
good conversation. As always, you do not need to be a member nor
a Ham to attend. Talk-In: 145.47 Danvers Repeater. See you there!

The Editors Letter
Here we are folks... another newsletter, another field day, another
summer. This is the last newsletter before the July-August break so
I hope all of you will have a nice and safe summer. Keep the news
and articles flowing so that Septembers edition will be even better
than this one.
I would like to invite anyone to contact me if you have questions,
comments, suggestions or complaints about the NSRA. As the clubs
Director I would like to hear more from the membership. My position
is to be the eyes and ears of the general membership and to represent
the members at Executive Board meetings. I have been with the club
for a number of years now and have heard a lot of comments and
suggestions from members... the problem is that they were whispered
at the back of the room at a meeting or between a few guys on a
simplex frequency. I will listen if you would like to talk. I am very
open to new ideas and better ways to do things. Don't be afraid to
speak up!
If anyone is interested in a General License class please let me know.
If we get enough interested parties then we should be able to hold
one soon. I will most likely be again teaching a Technician class
after Field Day sometime but we will find you a good teacher if you
are looking to upgrade to General. I will keep you posted.
I hope to see many of you at Field Day. I will be there for the entire
event as usual and hope that everyone will come on down and help out.
Operate, setup, log, hold a flashlight, anything... just come on down
to Winter Island.
Ken AA1DR
