Addison's Disease (Adrenal Insufficiency)
SYMPTOMS will include fatigue, low blood pressure when standing or when
changing positions, in which may lead to near-fainting or fainting, nausea,
loss of appetite and weight, diarrhea, vomiting, weakness, cold intolerance
and dark pigmentation of skin over knees, knuckles and elbows.
CAUSES are mostly unknown. It may be due to tumor, infection or other disease
of the adrenals. Involves adrenal gland hormones decreased production.
TREATMENT. Daily use of adrenal hormones is usually the treatment.
