Histoplasmosis
SYMPTOMS of the Primary Acute form include malaise, fever and coughing. The
Progressive Disseminated form symptoms may include lymph node, liver and
spleen enlargement and gastrointestinal or mouth ulceration. It involves a
spread of the infection from the lungs. The Chronic form in the lungs may
produce increasing difficulty in breathing and coughing.
CAUSES are from Histoplasma capsulatum, a fungus that is inhaled in dust.
TREATMENT. The Primary form usually does not need treatment.
.Antifungal drug usually prescribe for the other forms.
