Relapsing Fever
SYMPTOMS may include high fever, chills, vomiting, headache, joint & muscle
pain, delirium, jaundice and a reddish rash on the extremities and trunk.
Rose-colored spots follow the rash. Signs may disappear after 3 to 10 days
then return at 1 to 2 week intervals.
CAUSES are from spirochete bacteria that is transmitted by lice and ticks.
TREATMENT. Medication for vomiting and headaches. Antibiotics are effective.
