Dacryocystitis
SYMPTOMS include conjunctivitis, swelling and redness of the eyelid margins
and about the tear sac, pain and tearing with discharge.
CAUSES may be from nasal problems, nasal polyps, nose injury, deviated
septum or obstruction of the tear canal (the nasolacrimal duct).
TREATMENT. Consult your ophthalmologist.
.Antibiotics and hot compress may be prescribed.
.If abscessed, incision and drainage may be required.
