  11. SUBJECT:  MGT - The committed volunteer - Part 2/3
  12.     Just as there are three communications service areas -- administrative,
  13. operational, and technical -- there are also varying degrees of activity
  14. from one volunteer to the next.
  15.     Some people are required to perform on what we will call a CONSTANT
  16. basis.  A RACES Radio Officer, a CAP communications officer, or a volunteer
  17. CD communications officer puts in a lot of yime.  He or she does their work
  18. at your office, at home, and at their own office.  It is not at all unusual
  19. for these administrative volunteers to put in 16-30 hours a week.
  20.    These same people plus another type of volunteer serve on a SCHEDULED
  21. basis.  These are the people who are required to serve at a specific time
  22. and place on a repetitive and scheduled basis.  This might be for weekly
  23. radio schedules, paper work at headquarters, training, and other frequently
  24. scheduled activities.
