PA570.1
I returned the PA5 thinking I got a faulty unit.
Today I received the same PA5 stating that it was tested and
was in fact blown. PC Electronics stated that "Therefore in our
opinion the customer some how exceeded the maximum 200 mW input
power as specified in the first paragraph of the instructions.
The matching circuits are all within the SAU-4 and the input and
output is 50 ohms. Your PA5 is returned to you un repaired.
Should you wish to replace the SAU-4, I suggest RF Parts (619)
744-0728. Tom O'Hara"
I'm sure some Amateurs have received good quality merchan-
dise from PC Electronics. I'm just the unlucky one that got stuck
with a lemon AND a company that doesn't have a quality product.
So Amateurs BEWARE of PC Electronics as I am now out $95.01
plus UPS for the return. There is NO warranty as PC Electronics
states "ALL SALES ARE FINAL ONCE SHIPPED BY US"! Being a first
time buyer I should have known. But how do you test a defective
PA until you apply power? Due to the design and lack of quality
that PC Electronics stuck me with, I know who not to do business
with again!
Lesson learned!
