  10. Thanks to Bob, WB2CJL; Bob, W5KNE; and QRZ DX for the items in this
  11. week's bulletin.
  12.  
  13. PETER ONE ISLAND.  Thanks to team leader K0IR, this DXpedition plans
  14. to leave Port Stanley in the Falkland Islands on January 23, 1994.
  15. Their vessel is an icebreaker with two helicopters aboard.  The
  16. operation is scheduled for 16 days which will provide many with the
  17. opportunity to work this rare country.  SSB, CW and RTTY will be
  18. used.
  19.  
  20. LIBYA.  According to Ed, NT2X, station 5A0RR will return to the
  21. airwaves soon and be active to the end of June.  No other details
  22. were available as this bulletin was being prepared Thursday
  23. afternoon.
  24.  
  25. IRAQ.  Look for Diah, YI1DZ, on the 14247 kHz net around 0000z.  QSL
  26. w/IRCs to PO Box 7361, Baghdad.
  27.  
  28. ERITREA.  JH1AJT, DJ9ZB and K5VT plan to be active for a week or so
  29. starting June 27 or 28.  This all band effort will include CW, SSB
  30. and RTTY.
  31.  
  32. WALVIS BAY.  DJ0WQ, DK2WH, DJ2ZS and DJ4LK plan an operation from
  33. July 25 to August 3.
  34.  
  35. PENGUIN ISLANDS.  After their Walvis Bay operation, the German group
  36. will be active from here.
  37.  
  38. MACEDONIA.  As previously announced, the call sign prefix changes
  39. have taken affect.  Z31, Z32 and Z37 have been heard on the air
  40. recently.
  41.  
  42. SAINT PETER AND PAUL'S ROCKS.  According to Karl, PS7KM, the
  43. DXpedition for this one will take place January or February, 1994.
  44. Four ops are expected to run two stations around the clock, all
  45. bands and modes, including satellites and packet.
  46.  
  47. SAINT PAUL ISLAND.  CY9CWI will be active August 14 to 18.
  48.  
  49. THIS WEEKEND ON THE RADIO.
  50.  
  51. ARRL Field Day starts at 1800z Saturday, June 26 through 2100z
  52. Sunday, June 27.  W1AW will be active in this year's event.  For
  53. more details, check page 127 of May QST.
  54.  
  55. The RSGB, our sister society in the United Kingdom, sponsors a 160
  56. Meter CW Contest.  This four hour ''sprint'' type event starts at
  57. 2100z on June 26.
