Responsible for programming maintenance and enhancement of CodeMasters'
Medical Records software product line including: CodeMaster Plus
Vericode, CodeMaster Express, Coding Tutor, ReportMaster, Validator.
Conceived, developed, and authored the products CodeMaster, CodeMaster
Express, Coding Tutor, and ReportMaster. These products combined represent
more than 30,000 lines of source code written in the C programming language
as well as thousands of lines of code required to support and maintain the
medical dictionaries and DRG decision logic databases that the software
uses. Designed algorithms and implemented them into code for extremely
rapid search and retrieval of information from these medical databases.
This technology forms the foundation of the fine reputation that CodeMaster
product's enjoy.
Authored interfaces to HL7 systems, UNISYS PRN2000 & HMS, BAXTER IBAX
System, SoftMed Chartstat, AS/400 system using RUMBA, and several custom
interfaces using TSR screen/keyboard cut and paste methodologies.
Programmed/Produced animation sequences used in Coding Tutor, CodeMaster
demo disks and by the CodeMaster sales force at trade shows and demos.

Worked on weekends to create WANG BASIC programs to access existing data-
bases and create new insurance reports.

Designed and created the ICD9CM encoder known as CodeMaster in C and
advanced BASIC. The CodeMaster software enables Medical Records per-
sonnel to translate medical terminology for diseases and procedures into
the correct code and to perform consistency checks on the codes entered.
Performed customer support and installation of CodeMaster. Wrote data
entry, editing and analysis programs for a large patient database from
claimants in a medical malpractice class action suit. Wrote in-house
order entry system for managing company's book sales activities.

Wrote a subroutine in C that converted from internal binary floating
point to external decimal by the method of radix deflation.

Leader of new product research. Designed a peripheral sound box that
connected to an Apple II (or IIe) computer. Collaborated on the layout
and production of the company's first direct mail catalog.

Performed daily tape backup, cleaning and retrieval operations and data
entry on the VAX system as a part time employee.

Authored a technical training guide on connecting the Victor 5080 printer
with Hewlett Packard computers using the IEEE-488 interface. Co-designed
an alternate dot matrix character set which consisted of making changes
in the 8080 character generator object code and the 5080 testing unit.
Responsible for burning experimental ROM chips for the alternate
character boards. Authored demo programs written in HP's BASIC to demon-
strate the 5080's graphic capabilities to be used at computer shops,
and trade shows.

8080, Z80, M6800, and 6502 by Walter J. Weller. Entered examples from
the books as a reader would have and tested the results. Tested/debugged
Editor/Assembler written for the 6502. Produced companion disks, paper
tapes, and cassettes.
