PAFCARDS allows the printing of individual and family information
from your PAF data on 4X6 cards. The user can request the
printing of individual records (RINs or MRINs), groups or ranges
of records and cascading records similar to the PAF cascading
print option. PAFCARDS has a help mode which can be started with
PAFCARDS -?.
It supports Epson 24 pin and compatible printers. The cards are
designed for 20 characters per inch, with .75 line spacing. If
your printer is not compatible with these settings, use PRN2FILE
to capture the output to disk. Then set up your word processor
program with the correct settings, import the report file, and
print it. PRN2FILE.COM, a free utility from PC-Magazine which
intercepts printer output, is included in the distribution packet.
WARNING: This program has the potential to print hundreds of
cards. You may wish to capture the cards to disk and look at the
output, before sending it to the printer.
PAFCARDS allows the printing of user specified Tagged Notes.
ie:"AFN :". There are nine lines available for printing of Tagged
Notes. The default Tagged Notes are the ones the author uses in
his note files. These may be changed through the PAFCARDS -C
option. To leave a blank note line on all cards use a Tagged Note
like "NULL:" that will never be in your note files.
This version of PAFCARDS will not print notes stored in text
files. It assumes the notes are in the NOTES2.DAT file.
