2.1 07-07-93 -Bye Week Maintenance function added to Utilities Menu. Used
to help identify those players that have the week off.
-Team Roster and Team Maintenance will now indicate what
players are currently on a bye week. Players will have a "#"
printed next to their name.
-Now supports divisions for 8 team leagues.
-Can now set up a combined basic/performance scoring method.
-Can now draft more than 1 defense/coach.
-Team roster has been expanded to 22 players.
-Options added to support team quarterbacks and kickers.
-Can now bypass the legal lineup check by entering 0 for the
number of starters at each position.
-A "potpourri" position has been added to the legal lineup.
This is for leagues that in addition to a set number of
players at each position, also allow for a team owner to
fill out their starting lineup with any position.
-When importing scores, can now customize point values
assigned for the basic scoring method. Import also supports
the combined basic/performance method.
-When entering scores manually, the performance and distance
scoring methods now have a "miscellaneous" field, used to
enter any points that are not covered by the normal scoring
method.
-Registered users can bypass the signon screen with /B on
the command line (FFA /B).
-A warning is now displayed if executing Team Maintenance
and weekly scores are present. Once weekly scores have been
entered for the week, no additions/deletions/trades should
be made, else weekly scores may be posted to the wrong players.
-Team Maintenance will warn you if you press [Esc] after you
have made changes to a roster and did not save the changes
with [F10].
-Team Roster can now be printed by either fantasy team or
NFL team.
-Team Roster and Starting Lineup reports will print the
division names of teams (if using divisions). Only team
names are printed, team numbers have been removed.
-Starting Lineup report now sorted according to the schedule
to make it easier to compare scores.
-The description of a transaction has been expanded from 1
line of 50 characters to 2 lines of 50 characters.
-Transaction report will now print the total paid/unpaid even
if there are no entries for the team in the selected week.
-Reprinting the current standings will now also print the
head to head results of the previous week.
-When printing standings, you can enter commissioner notes to
be printed at the top of the standings report.
-When using divisions, current standings will also show
division wins/losses/ties. Win/Loss Maintenance changed to
access division wins/losses/ties.
-Pressing Alt-X (pressing the Alt key and the X key at the
same time) anywhere in the program will temporarily exit to
DOS. Entering EXIT and then pressing [ENTER] will return to
FFA.
-Num Lock setting is saved when starting FFA and restored
when FFA is terminated.
2.0 07-13-92 -Fix for win/loss percentage showing incorrectly when it
dropped below .100 .
-FFA now consists of 3 menus, the main menu, a reports menu,
and utilities menu. The main menu contains the functions
that are normally used to enter scores and update standings.
The reports menu contains all the reports that can be gen-
erated by FFA. The utilities menu contains functions that
are rarely used, such as League Options, Win/Loss Main-
tenance, etc.
-For all look-up windows, if all entries are currently
visible in the window, the window frame will be a single
line box. If there are more entries than can be shown in
the current window, the window frame will be a double line
box.
-New functions added to enter and report transactions.
Transaction Entry and Transaction Report.
-New functions added to enter and report team owner infor-
mation such as name, address, phone #, fax#, comments.
Owner Setup and Owner Report.
-New function added to be able to customize point values
for the performance and distance scoring methods (Scoring
Maintenance).
-New function added to be able to restore the previous
week's data files (assuming there is enough room on the
disk to create backup files).
-New function added to set printer options (Printer Setup).
Can now set the device name, initialization codes and 8
lines per inch codes.
-Added bonus for registered users - Draft Assistant. This
program will help set up the draft by randomly assigning
team numbers and the draft order. You can also manually
adjust the draft order to account for draft trades. As the
draft is taking place, it will track each round and pick
by selecting the player from the roster list. It will show
what players have been selected and also what players are
remaining, with several different sort options. When the
draft is done, team rosters are automatically loaded into
FFA. This program is only available directly from the
author.
-Flex option added to League Options, allows any combination
of wide receivers and/or tight ends to satisfy a legal
lineup.
-Sort Team Roster option added to League Options which is
used to automatically sort the team rosters by position.
-Team Setup will now warn if a player is already on another
fantasy team.
-When entering weekly scores, pressing [F4] will display
a window showing the points that have been entered for each
NFL team. Helpful to determine if some teams have not
been entered yet.
-When entering scores manually, starters will be noted with
a "s" next to their name and reserves will have a "r".
-Pressing [F4] in Starting Lineup will clear the status of
each player, making it easier to enter starting lineups.
-Starting Lineup report shows the current week number.
-All reports have the option to go to the printer, screen,
or file. Also have the option of specifying the number of
copies to be printed.
-Can now print Current Week's Detail report AFTER updating
the standings. This will only work if there was enough room
on the disk to create the backup file, and Enter Weekly
Scores has not been used for the current week.
07-27-92 -Fix for problem with Out Of String Space error when execut-
ing Team Setup after using Enter Weekly Scores AND using
the distance scoring method.
07-29-92 -Fix for problem of getting message "Duplicate Player" when
deleting a player from the roster and then using F10 to
update the file. File was updating correctly, just getting
the warning message when it shouldn't have.
-Fix for problem of Team Setup not always detecting a dup-
licate player.
08-18-92 -Corrected spelling of "vistor" to "visitor" in Schedule
Report and Starting Lineup Report.
09-04-92 -Fixes for more problems with Out Of String Space when using
more than 12 teams and a full roster (20 players). Was
happening when trying to perform a trade in Team Setup and
could also happen in Manual Score Entry if using the
distance scoring method.
1.4a 09-02-91 -Import file format change for kickers.
-Fix for Team Setup when selecting a LARM player from
the NFL roster list, it would mistakenly put LARD for
the player's team code.
1.4 08-17-91 -Import function added (Score Entry - Import) to be able to
import an ascii text file downloaded from a bulletin board
to import the scores for the basic and performance scoring
methods.
-NFL roster list is available. A player can be selected
from the list and imported into the team's lineup,
eliminating manual entry of name, position and NFL team
code.
-When updating scores manually, the player list will
now indicate whether the player is a starter or
reserve, for those leagues that do not wish to update
stats for a non starter/reserve.
-New option added to enter scores either by fantasy
team or NFL team when entering scores manually. Use
League Options to set this option.
-Added ability to print out a notes file on the Reports
Menu.
1.3a 07-22-91 -Fix for problem of getting illegal number of quarterbacks
message when setting up a new team.
1.3 06-25-91 -Team Setup will give a warning message if the team
defense or coach is on another team's roster.
-Pressing the down arrow key at the player's name in Team
Setup will go directly to the next player, skipping NFL
team, position and year-to-date points.
-Menu list was getting too big to fit on 1 menu, so
added a Reports Menu.
-Reports are in a separate program (FFAPRNT.EXE).
When a report is selected, there will be a slight
delay while the reports program is being loaded into
memory. When returning to the menu, there will be
another delay while the menu program is being loaded.
-New report to print the schedule.
-New report to print team's starting lineups.
-The standings report will now print next week's schedule
(if schedule is set up).
-Update/Print Standings will only print the results of the
week if the current week is a playoff week.
-Registered users will receive a registration file
(FFAREG.DAT) that contains a personal registration number
and their name. Registration is a one time fee.
-On-line help supports scrolling by line as well as by page.
-You can now enter and save notes by pressing [F5] at any
input field. This feature is useful for keeping track of
player transactions (trades, new pick ups, etc.)
-A new function called NFL Table Maintenance has been
added. This function is used to change the default
team codes/names for the NFL teams. This can also
be used to set up a table for college, World Football
League, or Arena teams.
1.2 11-19-90 -League options has a field for entering the name of the
league. This name will appear on all the reports, helpful
when running more than 1 league to identify the league the
reports are for.
-Current week's detail scoring report now has an option to
print the detail for the reserves as well as the starters.
This option is set with the League Options function. The
report will also be sorted by player position: quarterbacks,
running backs, wide receivers, tight ends, kickers and
reserves.
-Team roster report will now show each player's year-to-date
point total. This point total can be changed manually (if
needed) in the Team Setup function.
-Team Setup function now has an option to make it easier to
trade players between teams. Pressing [F9] at the player's
name will allow you to trade that player with another player
from a different team, eliminating the need to delete and
re-add players.
-When displaying a look-up window and the Num Lock is on,
Num Lock will automatically be turned off so the arrow keys
on the numeric key pad can be used. After the look-up
window is removed, the Num Lock key will be restored to its
original condition.
-Maximum number of reserves that can be used for a starting
lineup has been increased from 5 to 9.
1.1 11-13-90 -Name changed to Fantasy Football Assistant as Fantasy
Football Manager was trade marked by another company.
-Fixed problem with divisions when using 12 teams.
-Expanded player window in Score Entry so it shows all
players for a selected NFL team at once. Eliminates
possibility of missing a player if there were players
on the next page.
-Added team defense and team coach (if using those
options) to the Team Roster report.
-Added a reprint option to Update Standings so the
current standings can be reprinted.
