  2.  
  3.     Included is a file named putgf1.exe which will patch your DUNE ][
  4. game to work with the GUS Miles drivers.  This version replaces the
  5. Sound Canvas midi and Sound Blaster Pro digital drivers.
  6.  
  7. Instructions:
  8.  
  9.    (1) Backup your sound.pak file in case of accidents.
  10.    (2) Copy gf1midi.adv and gf1digi.adv to your Dune ][ directory.
  11.    (3) Run putgf1.exe to patch the sound.pak and dune.cfg files.
  12.    (5) Load (high) ultramid with the switches -m100 -c
  13.    (6) Check that you still have 600K conventional memory free
  14.    (7) Run Dune2, sit back, enjoy and "Warning : Missile Incoming" ];->

  16. To undo changes:

  18.     (1) Replace sound.pak with your backup copy.
  19.     (2) Run the Dune ][ setup program.
