Prerequisites
Knowledge of how to design a report in Paradox for Windows.
Purpose
This document explains how to print a report to a file.
To print a report to a file from within Paradox for Windows you
must first set up a printer driver to print to a file. Follow
these steps:
1. From the Main group in Program Manager, choose the Control
Panel icon.
2. Choose the Printers icon. The Printers dialog box
appears.
3. Choose the Add button. The List of Printers appears.
4. Decide if you want to keep the formatting for your report
in the file.
a. If you wish to keep the formatting for your report
in the file, choose the printer driver that you are
currently using from the Installed Printers.
b. If you want the file to be save as text only
(without formatting such as frames, graphics,
etc.), choose "Generic / Text Only" from the
Installed Printers. If it is not on the Installed
Printers list, choose it from the Printers List.
Choose install. Follow the instructions that
Windows provides.
NOTE: Viewing a report on screen with the
"Generic / Text Only" printer driver loaded, may
make your screen look irregular. However, the
document will print to a file correctly.
