  1.      If  you  have  the correct COMport picked in  the  software  (and  set

  3. correctly  via jumpers on the internal) and MTEZ says ONLINE, or  says  you
  4.  
  5. have carrier detect overridden, then you either have picked the wong modem,
  6.  
  7. or  may  have the wrong speed set (too high a speed). In  either  case  the
  8.  
  9. software cannot send the INIT string, which turns off carrier detect.
  10.  
  11.      One  common error is pickin V42bis or V32(bis) modem when you have  an
  12.  
  13. AMC|AFC|AMX|AFX modem. These must be set for 2400bps.
