  2.      To use a Zoom FaxModem with a BBS and fax rec'v, you do the  following
  3.  
  4. (it  must be CLASS-2 faxmodem) Assume your BBS init string  is  AT&F&C1&D2.
  5.  
  6. You add to the string +FCLASS=2 to set it to Fax mode. You may add S0=1 for
  7.  
  8. autoanswer,  or let the BBS software issue an ATA to answer the RING.  When
  9.  
  10. the  modem answers it will go CONNECT XXXX if it connects as a  modem.  The
  11.  
  12. BBS software will behave normally.
  13.  
  14.       If  it connects as a FAX it will issue a +FCON,  followed soon by  an
  15.  
  16. OK. The OK means it is back in command mode, so your FAX software can  give
  17.  
  18. whatever commands it needs to carry the process further.
  19.  
  20.      I  don't  know  exactly what you need to do to get  the  FAX  software
  21.  
  22. 'processing'.  After  some software recognises the +FCON, then I  assume  a
  23.  
  24. batch  file which calls the rec'v function. This would be a  good  question
  25.  
  26. for the Mfr of the FAX software. The modem will be in FAX mode, and  ready,
  27.  
  28. so it's all up the the FAX software at this point.
