  3.      The  fax software is written to work in the  background,  at

  5. least in theory. Practically speaking, it will almost NEVER  work
  6.  
  7. on  an  XT (8088 or 8086), very unlikely on an  AT  (286)  though

  9. there may be somethings you can do, like typing, BUT NOT WHILE  A
  10.  
  11. FAX  IS  BEING RECV'D! As the processors get better  (ie  faster)
  12.  
  13. things improve. The more intensive the main applications the less
  14.  
  15. likely they will work with Fax in the background (ie graphics  or
  16.  
  17. re-calc-ing a spreadhseat etc).

  19.      The   final  answer....  you  have  to  try  it  with   YOUR
  20.  
  21. applications.
