  1.              A recording comes before the FAX machine answers
  2.  
  3.      Call  the  number  with  the  fax  machine/recording  device  using  a
  4. telephone.  Count the seconds from the beginning of the dial to the end  of
  5. the  voice message. Devide the seconds by 2 and add 1. For 12 seconds  that
  6. would be 12/2=6+1=7. Put 7 commas AFTER the phone number.

  10.      This  tells the Faxmodem to wait for 14 seconds and THEN look for  the
  11. fax to answer. If you need something to tell the Fax device to answer, that
  12. can go after the last comma. One device uses #1..

  16.      This  also  can work with an extension. Suppose you have to  dial  344
  17. after  the answer to get the fax machine, and it takes 20 seconds  for  the
  18. phone to answer after you dial.
