UPDATE HISTORY
5/10/93 - First public release of Ver. 1.0
5/22/93 - Ver. 1.1. Two bug fixes. One "oops I didn't realize I did
that" fix. Mostly enhancements.
Ini file was growing by one line every time it was written to
disk. Fixed.
ComXAutoAssign warnings were all kinds of screwed up. Fixed.
Cleaned up documentation.
Changed double click on filename in Upload List to remove that
file instead of add the current directory to the directory
pick list.
Delete uploaded files if successful (which actually just
deletes the uploaded files wether the upload was successful
or not) now actually deletes the files.
Added "Check" button. This button sends the file name of the
highlighted file in the Upload List to the BBS so you don't have
to type it in when asked for a file name. If the BBS replies
that the file exists, just press "Remove" to remove it from the
Upload List.
Cleaned up some of the file handling to make the script run
a little faster.
Cleaned up the icon <G>
UPCOMING VERSIONS
How about up to nine different protocols? How about including
all the batch-handling protocols built into ProComm Plus for Windows?
How about having DSZ write a verification file and PWZMOD uses that to
determine what files to delete if you have Del After Upload checked? How
about having DSZ estimate upload times based on the connect speed
instead of the serial port speed?
Would you like to see these upgrades? SURE YOU WOULD!!! Help me
out! Send $10, or just let me know. Call my computer and leave me a
note. Send me snail-mail. Holler at me in the U'NI-net PROCOMM echo. Let
me know that you want further development and I'LL DO IT!
If enough people want a better PWZMOD, we can get version 2.0
using arrays instead of files to do all this stuff. It'll run a LOT
faster. Once we get there, there'll be file name masks, smart directory
tree searches (like Norton) and more configurability. There'll be menus
for dinking with the .ini. There'll be lots of stuff -- but only if you
let me know that you want it!
"Thanks for your support"
