  5. ■ Added capability for more control over the output of Logical and Date
  6.   fields.  See .Field command in the NG file for more information.

  8. ■ Added two new functions for calculating the VARIANCE and STANDARD
  9.   DEVIATION of a field.

  11. ■ Added the flag SAMPLE that is used in conjunction with the VARIANCE
  12.   and STANDARD DEVIATION functions.  If the data for which you are
  13.   calculating the variance and standard deviation represents a sample
  14.   population than setting SAMPLE to .t. will cause these two functions
  15.   to be calculated appropriately.
