-===> INSTRUCTIONS FOR HATCHER SHAREWARE PATTERNS <===-
--------------------------------- PART 1 -------------------------------------
LOADING HATCHER CONTENTS
To use the hatches in this Shareware program, you will need to copy all
the files on this disk to your Autodesk's AutoCad directory. To do this
you must make a subdirectory to your AutoCAD directory, such as:
D:\ACAD\HATCHER then change to it and run the A:LOAD-A or B:LOAD-B batch
files. Also make sure the ACAD.MNU and ACAD.PAT files are in your main
AutoCAD directory.
Example 1: Example 2:
C:\> D:\>
C:\>MD\ACAD\HATCHER<enter> D:\>MD\ACAD12\HATCHER
C:\>CD\ACAD\HATCHER<enter> D:\>CD\ACAD12\HATCHER<enter>
C:\ACAD\HATCHER>A:\LOAD-A<enter> D:\ACAD12\HATCHER>B:\LOAD-B<enter>
!! WARNING !! If you do not create a subdirectory to your AutoCAD
directory the installation batch files will not prop-
erly function correctly. It is wise to run these batch
files as explained above.
!! CAUTION !! Before running the batch file on disk A: or B:, You
should copy the ACAD.PAT file from your AutoCAD directory
to a floppy diskette in case you make a mistake installing
the Hatcher patterns. This will allow you to reinstall the
pattern file containing the original AutoCAD patterns if you
need to.( DO NOT copy the ACAD.PAT file to this diskette. )
NOTE: A: Drive = LOAD-A batch file.
B: Drive = LOAD-B batch file.
--------------------------------- PART 2 -------------------------------------
USING THE HATCHER PATTERNS
Now that the HATCHES.PAT file is appended to the ACAD.PAT file, You can
enter Autocad to choose the HATCHER menu with the Menu command, Use the
"HATCH ?" to check if the Hatcher patterns are added to the ACAD.PAT file, if
they are you'll see it if not try appending the file again. When successful
begin to use the patterns on any drawing you would like to enhance.
If the LOAD-A or LOAD-B batch file did not append the files ACAD.PAT and
HATCHES.PAT files as one file "ACAD.PAT". In your AutoCAD subdirectory you
must at the DOS prompt do the following:
Only as an example!
C: = The drive you are using.
\ACAD = The name of your AutoCAD directory.
\HATCHER = The name of your AutoCAD subdirectory.
C:\ACAD\HATCHER>COPY ACAD.PAT+HATCHES.PAT ACAD.PAT< Press Enter >
Once this is done correctly to remedy the problem of the HATCHER Patterns
not being found while using the HATCHER menu in AutoCAD you can use the
patterns.
! NOTE: Be careful when using any Autocad or Hatcher hatch patterns. Hatch !
! patterns use a lot of R.A.M. Random Access Memory to draw them in !
! the drawing, it also greatly increases the size of drawings. Be- !
! sure to "SAVE<enter>" before using any hatch pattern from any- !
! company. When Autocad runs out of R.A.M. you will get an ACAD.ERR !
! message "Out of Ram", Here you must save the drawing then reboot !
! the computer to regain the R.A.M. available in the system. !
! !
! " Save before using any hatch patterns in drawings. " !
------------------------------- Requirements: ---------------------------------
The only things required to run Hatcher 1.SW are:
