Business Base is a business data system which provides a format for
easy electronic record keeping. for all small and home business
operators. This software covers the essentials of business data
without pointless complications.
Business Base recognizes that most people want help from their
computer, and offers real benefits of compter organization to
the millions of people who work for themselves.
This program covers Contact Management, Inventory, Invoicing,
and more. TRY IT!
Long Description:

Business Base 1.1 contains the simple elements of computer business infor-
mation management. The program contains a series of interactive sections
which may be used separately or together for powerful, simple information
control and recall.
The first section is the day planner, or diary, which can keep appointment
records by day and time into the indefinate future, as well as preserving
your records of the past as long as you like.
The second section is the contact file, which maintains records of all the
people or businesses you need to keep track of. There is a text field for
maintaining special information and contact records of particular
individuals. The detail area for each record can accommodate any amount
of text to accumulate the facts of discussions or correspondance which may
occur over prolonged periods. The contact files are used by the rest of the
program in various ways; the point of sale for invoice headings, purchase
order headings, in tele-marketing and for mailing label data.
The next part of the program is the Point of Sale system which uses the
Contact Files for Customer Records, and the Inventory list for stock
control.

The Point of Sale system will debit inventory, produce invoices and make
assemblies from inventory and produce sales reports by period or customer.
The Inventory List will track an unlimited number of items of Inventory
and balance those items with sales and purchases. This section will
produce Purchase Orders and balance received orders with inventory.
The tele-marketing system is designed as a support system for a person who
has numerous similar calls to make, with a complex series of points to make.
This system uses a collection of cue cards and allows split screen scrolling
of the prospect data or of the cue cards, as required.
The expense ledger allows storage of any number of expense categories, for
easy record keeping. There is a details field for each item which encourages
very specific record keeping for better accountability. The reports in
this area provide a direct and obvious picture of areas of expenditure
by type and period.
The program overall is designed to make instruction unecessary, as help is
provides under F1 from all areas, and commands are all visible on the
screen at all times. No manual is provided as we believe it to be
unnecessary. If you feel otherwise please let us know.
