  7.    We are now making an effort to make some of the best "finds" in commercial 
  8. software available to you conveniently and economically.  In this case, we are 
  9. pleased to offer ^1Quicken^0, from Intuit.  This accounting package is ideal for 
  10. business or personal use.  It is speed-optimized: it will write and print 20 
  11. checks (if you have continuous-form checks for your printer) in 3 minutes; it 
  12. can look up a check you wrote 1000 checks ago in 1 second; and it can analyze 
  13. your budget vs. actual expenses for a full year in 4 seconds.

  15.    Quicken offers macros to perform repetitive tasks for you entirely 
  16. automatically.  It will even remind you to pay your bills when they come due; 
  17. you can set it up to pop up a reminder when you power up your machine, even if 
  18. you forget to run Quicken.

  20.    Quicken's special business sections support payables, recievables, cash flow 
  21. forecasting, payroll, petty cash control, and job, client, and property 
  22. bookkeeping.  It works great for doctors, property managers, consultants, and 
  23. other small businesses.  (It won't work with dollar amounts over $9,999,999.99, 
  24. so if you're dealing with this sort of big bucks, you're out of its league.  But 
  25. for anyone not at this stratospheric level, Quicken works great!  Once you 
  26. expand to the $10,000,000.00 level, you can afford to switch to a higher-priced 
  27. accounting package anyway.)

  29.    There's no need to alter your bookkeeping procedures, because Quicken works 
  30. just like your checkbook.  There's no accounting jargon like "credit" and 
  31. "debit," so you needn't have a degree in accounting to use it.  Comprehensive 
  32. documentation and online help is included, and free technical support is 
  33. available from the manufacturer.

  35.    With all the kilobuck business software out there, you might expect to pay a 
  36. price way up in the three-figure range for a program this versatile.  But 
  37. Quicken is available from us for the amazingly low price of $39.95, a 20%

  52. your list, and you can export sublists to other files.  A word processor is 
  53. included to let you write letters using mail-merge commands to address them

  76.    Has this happened to you:  You've just finished writing an important document
  77. in a word processor, and are ready to save it.  At that moment, DOS informs you
  78. that there's no space left on the disk you're using.  You need to insert another
  79. formatted disk to save your document, but you can't find one.  What do you do?
  80. Some programs let you format a new disk from within the program, but this is a
  81. slow, tedious process.  Other programs have no such feature, leaving you without
  82. a way to save your data if you don't have a formatted disk handy.

  107.    SOFTDISK, INC. is a distributor for Quick Copy diskette duplicators, which 
  108. are self-contained units requiring no computer to run.  There are Quick Copy 
  109. models to copy 5 1/4" or 3 1/2" diskettes, either double-sided or single-sided 
  110. in several formats, including IBM PC, APPLE II ProDOS and DOS 3.3, COMMODORE 
  111. 64/128, and MACINTOSH.

  113.    The user reads a master copy into the Quick Copy's memory.  From that point,
  114. the Quick Copy will copy two double-sided 360K MS-DOS 5 1/4" diskettes every 40
  115. seconds (that's 20 seconds each!).  3 1/2" diskettes (720K) take twice as long.
  116. Thus, a single machine could copy as many as 90 diskettes per hour.  The speed
