  6.    I just want to take this opportunity to thank you for supporting BIG BLUE 
  7. DISK.  Our circulation has been growing by leaps and bounds.  (That's Cindy 
  8. Bounds, the nice lady in our shipping department who has to send out all the 
  9. copies of BIG BLUE DISK you order.)  With a larger circulation base, we can 
  10. afford to spend more on better-quality material, so that everyone benefits.

  12.    If you're a programmer, you might want to note that we've been increasing the
  13. amounts we pay for top-notch submissions; write to us for guidelines.  Back when
  14. we started, $50 was our typical payment; now $100 is the bare minimum, and most 
  15. submissions of any quality get lots more than that.  In addition, if you earn a 
  16. place among our best submitters, we might contract with you for custom 
  17. programming work, and these jobs pay even higher fees.  There are lots of ways 
  18. you can make big bucks by joining our happy crew of freelance programmers; write
  19. for submission guidelines today!

  21.    You don't have to be a hacker to get your name in print.  We value feedback
  22. from our readers, and you are encouraged to send your comments, hints, tips, 
  23. questions, and other text on disk.  Use our BlueLine editor or any other text
  24. editor that works with ordinary ASCII.  We pick out some of these comments every
  25. month for the Diskussion department.  We don't pay for this material (just like
  26. other magazines and newspapers don't pay for letters to the editor), but it
  27. gives you a chance to get your name in lights, and if you have a question it may
  28. be answered by our staff or another reader.  In addition, your feedback will
  29. help shape the future of BIG BLUE DISK; please don't hesitate to tell us which
  30. departments and features you particularly like or hate.

  32.    All submitters of programs or feedback on disk will receive a $5 coupon good
  33. for any of our products, whether we use your material or not.  This is our way
  34. of reimbursing you for the cost of the blank disk and postage.  So be a
