  3. The document file for Protected mode ADI driver(DGADIHDG.EXP / Ver 3.1)

  6. The file DGADIHDG.EXP is Protected mode ADI driver(ADI 4.2) that allows a 
  7. Hitachi tablet listed below to interface with AutoDesk programs such as 
  8. AutoCAD, AutoShade, or any other AutoDesk application software that can 
  9. use a Protected-mode ADI digitizer.

  21. To install the DGADIHDG driver, you need to set the functions of Tablet by
  22. DIP swiches or Menu sheets.
  23.  
  24. 1. For HDG-1111C with Pen/4-B cursor
  25.           DSW1 - 1, 3 and 4 ; ON
  26.           DSW2 - 3 and 5    ; ON
  27.           DSW3 - All        ; OFF
  28.           If 12-B cursor is used, DSW3-4 must be ON.
  29.    (Note) The HDG-1111C will be set as;
  30.           0.025mm, REMOTE mode, Lower-left origin,
  31.           9600bps, 7-data, Even parity, 1-stop
  32.           ASCII format(Hitachi)

  34. 2. For HDG-1212D, 1515D, 1717D and 1217D
  35.           DSW1 - all  ; OFF
  36.    (Note) The D-series tablet will be set as;
  37.           0.025mm, REMOTE mode, Lower-left origin,
  38.           9600bps, 7-data, Even parity, 1-stop
  39.           ASCII format(Hitachi)
  40.           
  41. 3. For HDG-2222 - HDG-4460 with DP004 I/F board
  42.           MODE/RATE(DIP switch)   - all  ; OFF
  43.           BAUDRATE(DIP switch)    - 8    ; ON
  44.           Jumper pin on the board - 1S and ASYNC(2) ; ON
  45.    (Note) The large tablets with I/F board(DP004) will be set as;
  46.           0.025mm, REMOTE mode, Lower-left origin,
  47.           9600bps, 7-data, Even parity, 1-stop

  50. 4. For HDG-2222S - HDG-4460S with DP401 I/F board
  51.           DSW1 - all     ; OFF
  52.           DSW2 - 2 and 4 ; ON

  54.    (Note) The large tablets with I/F board(DP401) will be set as;
  55.           0.025mm, REMOTE mode, Lower-left origin,

  60.           HITACHI-1 Default
  61.    (Note) The T-series large tablet will be set as;
  62.           0.001", RUN mode, Lower-left origin,

  64.           ASCII format(Hitachi)

  68.    (Note) The HDG-1212E will be set as;

  76. NOTE for INSTALLING DRIVER
  77. ===========================
  78. The Hitachi Protected mode ADI driver(DGADIHDG.EXP) can be used with
  79. AutoCAD R11 and R12. But you have to set the different environment
  80. for R11 and R12.

  84. 1. Installing the Protected mode ADI driver under AutoCAD R11
  85. ==============================================================
  86.  
  87. After copying the DGADIHDG.EXP from "Hitachi drivers" diskette to
  88. the AutoCAD root directory(ex;C:\acadr11), type the following to install
  89. Protected mode ADI driver at DOS prompt.
  90.  
  91.       set DGPADI=C:\ACADR11\DGADIHDG
  92.  
  93. You should add the environment variable DGPADI into the startup batch.file
  94. (ex;acad386) so that the driver is loaded whenever you start the AutoCAD R11.

  97. For example, follow the step listed below to install and use Protected
  98. mode driver under AutoCAD R11.
  99.  
  100. (1). Insert "Hitachi drivers" diskette into drive A:.
  101.  
  102. (2). Copy the Protected mode ADI driver from the diskette to your AutoCAD R11
  103.      root directory(ex; C:\ACADR11).
  104.  
  105.          COPY  A:DGADIHDG.EXP  C:\ACADR11
  106.  
  107. (3). Enter the following command at DOS prompt.
  108.  
  109.          SET DGPADI=C:\ACADR11\DGADIHDG
  110.  
  111.      (Note) Add this line to AutoCAD R11 startup batch file(acad386.bat),
  112.             if you want to set automatically.
  113.  
  114. (4). Type acad386 to run AutoCAD R11.
  115.  
  116. (5). Choose "5. Configure AutoCAD" on the main menu.
  117.  
  118. (6). You will see Current AutoCAD Configuration.
  119.      Press Enter key to continue.
  120.  
  121. (7). Choose "4. Configure digitizer" on the Configuration menu.
  122.  
  123. (8). Enter "y" to select a different digitizer.
  124.  
  125. (9). Choose "2. ADIP386 digitizer" on the available digitizers list.
  126.  
  127. (10). Choose the digitizer model you are using from the Supported models
  128.       list.

  199. 2. Installing the Protected mode ADI driver under AutoCAD R12
  200. =============================================================
  201.  
  202. After copying the DGADIHDG.EXP from "Hitachi Driver" diskette to
  203. the AutoCAD R12 drivers directory(ex;C:\acadr12\drv), type AutoCAD startup
  204. batch file(ex;acadr12) to install Protected mode ADI driver and to run
  205. AutoCAD R12.

  208. The installation program of AutoCAD R12 will make a startup batch file
  209. (ex;acadr12.bat) to set the environment for the protected mode ADI driver.
  210. You will see the following line in the batch file.

  212.       set ACADDRV=C:\ACADR12\DRV
  213.  
  214. You should copy the DGADIHDG.EXP to C:\ACADR12\DRV directory.

  217. For example, follow the step listed below to install and use Protected
  218. mode driver under AutoCAD R12.

  220. (1). Insert "Hitachi Driver" diskette into drive A:.

  230. (4). Choose "Configure" from the File menu or enter CONFIG at the command
  231.      prompt.

  233. (5). You will see Current AutoCAD Configuration.
  234.      Press Enter key to continue.

  236. (6). Choose "4. Configure digitizer" on the Configuration menu.

  238. (7). Enter "y" to select a different digitizer.

  240. (8). Choose "6. Hitachi Protected mod ADI driver" on the available
  241.      digitizers list.

  243. (9). Choose the digitizer model you are using from the Supported models

  319. using the DGADIHDG.EXP driver with Standard configuration(i.e., unmodified 
  320. acad.mnu file) of AutoCAD.
  321. This button mapping may be modified by editing the acad.mnu file. 
  322. For instructions to modify the acad.mnu file, refer to the AutoCAD 
  323. "Reference Manual" supplied with your AutoCAD.
