^C^1VOCABULARY BUILDER

"Words are weapons. . . ."
-- George Santayana
Do your colleagues habitually demonstrate their erudition with ostentatious
polysyllabic discourse? Do your friends' Buckley-esque bon mots send you
scurrying for a dictionary as soon as they leave?
Let's face it: it's a war of words out there. And to the pompous go the
spoils. If you feel unconfortable because you still say "think" instead of
"cogitate," it's time to augment your personal lexicon.
That's where Daniel's VOCABULARY BUILDER comes in. The multiple choice quiz
covers a list of words that you might not use every day. If you aren't
familiar with a word, VOCABULARY BUILDER helps you learn it by showing the word
used in a sentence.
A final note: look for more vocabulary quizzes in future issues.
