Initiating into memory
----------------------
Key SP3SPL [/pn: [dir=<dirspec>\] [/buff=01,....,64]
where:
p = L or C (for an LPT or a COM port)
n = the port number ... 1, 2, 3, or 4
<dirspec> is the directory where spool files are created. You
must include the trailing \.
/buff=xx, where xx is a number from 01 to 64. This represents
the number of kilobytes of ram to reserve as a buffer.
Increasing this number may result in faster spooling;
but the offset to this benefit is that the program
will take up more memory. If you find that data is
being truncated, then increase this value until you
find a setting where the problem goes away.
Example:
SP3SPL /L1: dir=c:\spool\ /buff=10
Defaults:
Port = LPT1.
Directory = C:\DS4\SPOOL\L1
or L2
or L3, etc, depending on which
port you have designted.
buff = 02
Usage
-----
The SPOOLER will create a new file for every print job. The file reside
in the directory indicated above, and will have a name as follows:
pnxxx001.SPL
where:
pn is L1 for LPT1, and so forth.
xxx starts at 000, and is incremented for each job.
Removing from memory
--------------------
You can remove SP3SPL from memory by keying SP3SPL /T.
