OCR: You cannot assume that the driver's seat is perfectly set up for your body size, especially when getting in a training car. The seat can be adjusted forwards or backwards and there will be an optimum position which allows you to :- > reach each car control easily and comfortably > operate the clutch pedal without stretching the leg > keep a comfortable firm grip on the steering wheel with the arms relaxed and not restricted at the elbows > see the road ahead clearly as required for safe driving > ensure a clear view of the instrument panel at all times Adjust Forwards Adjust Backwards Once the seat has been adjusted to the optimum position make sure it is firmly locked in place, which you will be able to hear with a clunk sound or feel through the seat. Adjust the head restraint to be in line with the eyes, and, as close to the back of the head as you find comfortable.
