  3. This is the README.TXT file distributed with
  4. version 1.0 of Time Zone, a Control Panel
  5. extension for Windows NT.

  8. COPYRIGHT and COST
  9. ------------------
  10. Time Zone is a copyrighted computer program.
  11. It is created and distributed by Impact Software.
  12. Our intention is to provide Time Zone to companies
  13. and computer owners for their OWN USE ONLY.
  14. You may share Time Zone with others by providing
  15. it to them at the same price we do - free.
  16. We prefer that you share the original ZIP file
  17. that we provide.  If this is not possible, please
  18. be sure that you include all 3 files in this
  19. package (README.TXT, TIMEZONE.CPL, and
  20. TIMEZONE.HLP) when you share Time Zone with
  21. others.  Thank You!

  28. INSTALLING TIME ZONE
  29. --------------------
  30. Impact Software places three files in the original
  31. file package that Time Zone is distributed in.
  32. One of these files is the README.TXT file that you
  33. are reading now.  The other two files are named
  34. TIMEZONE.CPL (the program file) and TIMEZONE.HLP
  35. (the online Help file).  All you need to do to
  36. install Time Zone is copy the TIMEZONE.CPL file
  37. and the TIMEZONE.HLP file to your WINNT\SYSTEM32
  38. directory.  It will automatically be made available
  39. to you by Control Panel.

  42. UNINSTALLING TIME ZONE
  43. ----------------------
  44. Time Zone makes absolutely no updates to any
  45. configuration file on your system.  You might
  46. say it is "immaculate" (smile).  All you need to
  47. do to uninstall it is to delete the TIMEZONE.CPL
  48. and TIMEZONE.HLP files from your WINNT\SYSTEM32
  49. directory.

  61.  SOFTWARE LICENSE

  63.  Users are granted a limited license to use Time Zone
  64.  on their own computer systems.

  66.  No one may modify or patch the Time Zone executable file
  67.  in any way, including but not limited to decompiling,
  68.  disassembling, or otherwise reverse engineering the program.

  70.  A limited license is granted to copy and distribute Time Zone
  71.  only for the use of others, subject to the above limitations,
  72.  and also the following:

  74.   1)    The Time Zone modules and this README.TXT file must be
  75.         distributed together and in unmodified form.
  76.  
  77.   2)    Time Zone may NOT be distributed in conjunction with
  78.         any other product without a specific license to do so
  79.         from Impact Software.

  81.   3)    No fee, charge, or other compensation may be requested or
  82.         accepted, except as authorized below:

  84.         A) Operators of electronic bulletin board systems (sysops)
  85.            may make Time Zone available for downloading only as
  86.            long as the above conditions are met.  An overall or
  87.            time-dependent charge for the use of the bulletin board
  88.            system is permitted as long as there is not a specific
  89.            charge for the download of Time Zone.

  91.         B) Vendors of user-supported or shareware software approved by
  92.            the ASP may distribute Time Zone, subject to the
  93.            above conditions, without specific permission.  Non-
  94.            approved vendors may distribute Time Zone only after
  95.            obtaining written permission from Impact Software.
  96.            Such permission is usually granted.  Please write for
  97.            details (enclose your catalog).

  99.         C) Non-profit user groups may distribute copies of the
  100.            Time Zone diskette to their members, subject to
  101.            the above conditions, without specific permission.
  102.            Non-profit groups may collect a disk duplication fee
  103.            not to exceed five dollars.

  105.   WARRANTY

  107.   THIS PROGRAM IS DISTRIBUTED AT NO CHARGE FOR THE
  108.   BENEFIT OF ALL USERS OF WINDOWS NT.  IMPACT SOFTWARE
  109.   DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED,
  110.   INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF
  111.   MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE,
  112.   WITH RESPECT TO THE PRODUCT.  SHOULD THE PROGRAM PROVE
  113.   DEFECTIVE, THE PURCHASER ASSUMES THE RISK OF PAYING THE
