  12.                               IMPORTANT CHANGES!!!

  14.     This is WEATHER v1.17 - there have been some fairly major modifications
  15.     in this release that allow WEATHER to use several new features...please
  16.     reconfigure WEATHER before operation to take advantage of these new
  17.     features.  Re-configuration is not necessary - but highly desirable.
  18.  
  19.     WEATHER now uses WCONFIG.EXE to configure the WEATHER program.  If
  20.     WEATHER is run with the CONFIG option which operated previously, you
  21.     are informed that you can reconfigure WEATHER by running WCONFIG.EXE.

  23.     WEATHER.CFG is a simple ASCII text file - you can edit WEATHER.CFG with
  24.     any editor capable of saving straight ASCII text.  Do not use word
  25.     processing packages that save special characters in the text.
  26.  
  27.     Also included with this version of WEATHER is a set of files - ANSI
  28.     and RIP screens which the System Operator of Atlanta Information
  29.     Exchange [404-957-3325] was kind enough to create and donate!

  31.     New changes to WEATHER include:

  33.       (Changes in 1.17)
  34.  
  35.       *  Rewrote capture routine.  Is faster and more accurate.
  36.  
  37.       *  Fixed bug where WEATHER would not create the Zone, Severe,
  38.          Marine, or Recreational forecasts if the previous calls files
  39.          were in the WEATHER directory.
  40.  
  41.       *  Added a TOTAL progress indicator so that the progress of the
  42.          ENTIRE call could be tracked...versus just the previous city's
  43.          report progress.
  44.  
  45.       *  Uses less memory.  Approximately 10-20k less memory, depending
  46.          on the machine.
  47.  
  48.       *  Updated WCONFIG to read in old values so that when new versions
  49.          of WEATHER come out, the old values are not lost...the old
  50.          values will replace the default values.
  51.  
  52.       *  Added a /B (bypass opening screen) feature for registered users.
  53.  
  54.       *  Added a LOGFILE feature for users so that they can track what
  55.          might have gone wrong with a call.

  57.       (Changes in 1.16)

  59.       *  Added RECREATIONAL WEATHER REPORT.  Due to user demand, this
  60.          report has been added to the functionality of WEATHER!
  61.  
  62.       *  Added MARINE WEATHER REPORT.  Once again, users drive the
  63.          thrust of WEATHER!  They get what they demand!  :*)

  65.       *  Capitalization of ALL REPORTS.  A small note here:  if the
  66.          routine that capitalizes the text does not work perfectly,
  67.          please drop off (or send) a copy of the non-cased text to
  68.          Blaine Schmidt at Moobasi Optics, Ink. - the capitalization
  69.          is quickly becoming a nightmare for all of the different
  70.          conditions WEATHER has to meet...but we still want to make
  71.          it work at 100% efficiency!

  73.       *  Added BWI (Baltimore, MD) to the WEATHER.LOC file.

  75.       *  Added the ability for users to add WEATHER AIRPORT CODES
  76.          in the WCONFIG program.  Read the WEATHER documentation for
  77.          additional information.
