Thanks for evaluating this little utility. First some things you'll need
to know :
1. This version of BCMSG requires POSTMSTR. This excellent utility
is used to send the desired messages to the BBS. Version 2.0 of
BCMSG will not require this utility.
2. BCMSG.EXE & BCMSG.DAT must be placed in the WC Home directory.
Sorry about that but changing directories so POSTMSTR would
work just seemed like too much.
3. Your Node directory must be on the PATH. BCMSG searches the PATH
to find the USERINFO.DAT file for some of its information.
4. This utility BCMSG 1.0 is Freeware, however future enhancements
may not be....
SETUP:
1. Unzip the BCMSG10.ZIP file to your WC Home directory. Generally
its something like C:\WC30.
2. Edit the BCMSG.DAT file to suit your needs. The format for the
BCMSG.DAT file is as follows :
SecurityLevel;MSGTextFile;Conference#;From;Subject
example... The following entry would send the Message contained
in the File C:\WC30\WELCOME.TXT to the User with a
security level of FULLUSER in Conference 0, from the
SysOp and a Subject of Welcome Aboard....
FULLUSER;C:\WC30\WELCOME.TXT;0;SYSOP;Welcome Aboard
3. Add the following lines to the Batch file that calls BOBCAT.
or use the Batch file provided.....
cd \wc30
BCMSG
Thats about all there is to it. If you have any problems I can be reached
on MSI HQ in the Third Party Utilities area or you can call MPC BBS at
(408) 645-1304, just post a message to the sysop. I also have a home phone
of (408) 647-9688, but catching me there is hit or miss....
