  4. Red Alert! is both a new and sophisticated piece of software for detecting 
  5. computer viruses, trojan programs and code bombs. It is ESSENTIAL that you
  6. read the supplied documentation BEFORE using Red Alert!

  8. Many legitimate programs will trigger warnings with Red Alert! This is not an 
  9. error in the software, many techniques used by computer viruses and other 
  10. rogue programs can also be used for legitimate purposes.

  12. It is NOT advised that you use Red Alert! to scan an entire hard disk, unless 
  13. you are fully competent with DOS and can interprete the mass of messages which 
  14. Red Alert! will provide. Rather, you should use Red Alert! to check individual 
  15. files, or floppy diskettes before installing software onto your system.
