Thanks for taking a look at...
<-- D O S Time Adder -->
Now, how about registering by sending all the money you and your
relatives and neighbors have to:

If that's unreasonable, $10.00 US would suffice, and help me
cover the cost of maintaining DOSTIMEC and it's documentation and
mailing. Your support is truly appreciated and necessary.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Now for the good stuff...
DOS Time Adder is an early DOS version of the Windows Time Adder
currently posted in the IBMAPP forum, LIB 6 in the file TIMECAL.ZIP,
which is zipped with version 2.04g of PKZIP.
This DOS version is not as powerful or fancy as the Win version,
but will still make time adding relatively painless.
There is an ASCII log file feature you can use. When you first start
the program, juse enter an 8-character file name and hit enter. The
little indicator above the file name lets you know logging is active.
You can turn it on or off with the logging key, and start a new file.
Of course, when you clear the 'tape', the log file retains all the early
calculations and indicates the clear action. In fact, everything you do
is reflected in the log file. You can print it or load it into EXCEL,
or whatever you like. EXCEL can parse the file easy enough into columns.
This is a spartan program, so it's not feature laden. Just enter time using
the keypad and either press ENTER, + or - to add, add, or subtract the
current entry to or from the total, respectively. (Better read that again
unless you are from another planet.)
If you make a time-warp, just re-enter the bogus number again and press
the - key to 'erase' it from the total. (In the WIN version, you just
double click the bad entry to remove it from the total...)
You'll probably figure out ways to use this that I haven't thought of.
Geometry students and nautical folks will use it to add degrees in DMS form
for example.
KNOWN BUGS
==========================================================================
NONE!
Nah, really, there is one. If you END before you put in a log file name,
or bypass the file name, you will be unceremoniously thrown out of the
program to the dos prompt with the error message that the unknown file
can't be found. Easy to avoid: just give it a file name!

I suggest the WINDOWS version if you can run it. It has very nice features
I can't easily build into a DOS version. It's more heavily tested, too.
If you find bugs or have suggestions, let me know via compuserve.
For a really large fee, or a winning lottery ticket, I'll customize either
one of my programs for you. Otherwise, we'll just have to negotiate!
I have been known to work reasonably.
