  21. DRIV_MAN v1.20 r01/01/94 MicroMetric <ASP>: DRIV_MAN is a disk utility manage-
  22. ment tool that displays pertinent logical disk drive data - up to twenty-six
  23. drives - on a SINGLE SCREEN for analysis/storage: great for multi-drive sys-
  24. tems, networks, large systems! The DRIV_MAN display includes: DRIVE DATA SUM-
  25. MARY with capacity, used and free for each available/selected drive, DRIVE DATA
  26. GRAPH with the same data for each drive, TOTAL DISK SUMMARY and GRAPH, and
  27. INDIVIDUAL DRIVE DATA displaying information on one drive at a time. Options
  28. include: Toggle any of six sort orders for the DRIVE DATA SUMMARY and GRAPH,
  29. selectable/editable display DRIVE RANGE, disk storage of the DISK DRIVE SUMMARY
  30. display, auto run, and ability to run a file manager from within the program.

  45. ╒╡ REQUIREMENTS ╞═════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╕
  46. IBM PC, XT, AT or true compatibles operating with PC/MS-DOS, version 3.0 or
  47. later. It supports both NETBIOS networks and "huge" hard disk drives formatted
  48. for more than 32MB. The program will determine what type of display monitor is
  49. available and adjust itself accordingly.

  56.   o  DRIVE DATA GRAPH with a column (Mb/Kb or %) for each drive depicting ca-
  57.      pacity, used and free. Percentage free and used are shown with a % scale.
  58.   o  TOTAL DISK SUMMARY(bytes) with capacity, used amount/percent, and free
  59.      amount/percent.
  60.   o  TOTAL DISK GRAPH with used percent and free percent.
  61.   o  INDIVIDUAL DRIVE DATA(bytes) of capacity, used amount/percent, and free
  62.      amount/percent. Drives may be scrolled through the full range select-
  63.      ed/available.
  64. * Sort the DRIVE DATA SUMMARY and DRIVE DATA GRAPH in any of six orders.
  65. * Selectable disk DRIVE RANGE - command line or data entry menu.
  66. * Detects monitor type and sets colors accordingly.
  67. * Display colors are coordinated to highlight the various types of data.
  68. * Display data may be stored/appended to a disk file for archiving, later com-

  124. DRIV_MAN is being distributed as SHAREWARE. The SHAREWARE concept allows users
  125. to examine a program on a trial basis, at no (or minimal) charge, before pur-
  126. chasing it. In addition, by decreasing marketing costs, professional quality
  127. software may be distributed for a fraction of the cost of a comparable commer-
  128. cial product. Regardless of whether you register the program, please help dis-
  129. tribute DRIV_MAN by sharing unmodified copies of it and its files with others
  130. on a private non-commercial basis. Liability is limited to replacing the soft-
  131. ware for registered users. There is no liability for any damage or loss caused
  132. by this software, directly or indirectly.

  135. day evaluation period. If you find DRIV_MAN of value, and continue to use it

  141. ╒╡ SPECIAL INSTALLATION INFORMATION ╞═════════════════════════════════════════╕
  142. 1.  To install the unregistered shareware version normally supplied on disk-
  143.     ette, copy the self extracting file "DMANvvv.EXE" (vvv is the version) to
  144.     either a separate directory - such as "DMAN" - or a directory that is ref-
  145.     erenced in the path statement. At the DOS prompt, change to this drive-
  146.     directory, type "DMANvvv" and press ENTER.
  147. 2.  To install the unregistered shareware version downloaded from a BBS, unpack
  148.     the file "DMANvvv.ZIP" (vvv is the version) to either a separate directory
  149.     - such as "DMAN" - or a directory that is referenced in the path statement.
  150. 3.  To install the registered version, refer to the DRIV_MAN manual.
  151. 4.  To run the program, change to the drive-directory on which it is located
  152.     (only if it isn't on a path referenced directory), type "DRIV_MAN" and
  153.     press ENTER. 
  154. 5.  NOTE: THE PROGRAM NAME, AND POSSIBLY OTHER FILE NAMES, HAVE BEEN CHANGED AS
  155.     OF VERSION 1.10. ANY DASH '-' IN THE NAME HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH THE UNDER-
  156.     SCORE '_'. This was done to be ISO compliant for CD-ROM's.
