  2.                       Help on file area commands

  4. Locating a file - You can use (F)ind descript to find a file description in
  5.                   any file area. You can (L)ist files in the current area.
  6.                   You can (S)can all dirs which will list all matches with
  7.                   the string you enter including all wildcards.[*.*, tag??
  8.                   tag??.??? or any combination allowed by dos]
  9.  
  10. Downloading a file - You use (D)ownload or (B)batch add depending
  11.                   on if you wish to download more than one file. If
  12.                   it cant find the file you want check the spelling to
  13.                   insure it is spelled correctly. 
  14.                   You may also use the (F)lag or (D)ownload commands at the
  15.                   command prompt while listing a file area.

  17. Batch Downloads - To create a batch que for downloads(download more than one
  18.                   file at a time you select [D]ownload and enter the name of 
  19.                   the file you want first. When it asks you for a "Protocol=?"
  20.                   You can also use the [B]atch Add command, this works just
  21.                   like the [D]ownload command except instead of asking for
  22.                   a protocol it will send you back to the file menu. Remember
  23.                   that these commands fully support wildcards!

  25. Changing file areas - You have two options here, you may either type the number
  26.                   of the file area you wish to go to ( found with the (A)rea
  27.                   command which lists the name and number of all accessable
  28.                   file areas ) or you may use the "[" and "]" keys which move
  29.                   you to the next lower numbered and next higher numbered file
  30.                   area respectively. Remember that on the better BBSs the 
  31.                   <???> tells you where the file is phically located. 
  32.                   <HDD>=Hard drives <CD?>=cdroms, there may be a delay 
  33.                   accessing a file from a cdrom.

  36. Protocol Selection - The protocol listing might seem a bit overwhelming to 
  37.                   look at but they are all there for your convience. Which
  38.                   one is best? Well thats a tough one, if your communication
  39.                   program supports "Zmodem" then use that one, if not look
  40.                   for "Ymodem" and last but not least there is "Xmodem"(the
  41.                   slowest). If you want the absolute fastest and best I would
  42.                   have to say "MPT". But that is an external protocol that 
  43.                   you will have to download and install yourself.
