  4. Instructions on the GEN7 Desktop:

  6. The file: GEN7G15.EXE contains the GEN7 Desktop without the data
  7.   sets to operate.  The data sets are as follows:
  8.  
  9.                                    Distribution    CompuServe
  10.      0. The GEN7 Desktop with File Manager.
  11.                                    GEN7G15.EXE   or G7G15.EXE
  12.           These programs run within the GEN7 GUI:
  13.      1. Children's Tutors          GEN7TD15.EXE  or G7TD15.EXE
  14.      2. Accountant Module          GEN7AD15.EXE  or G7AD15.EXE
  15.      3. Song DataBase              GEN7SD15.EXE  or G7SD15.EXE
  16.      4. Old Testament Bible Study  GEN7OD15.EXE  or G7OD15.EXE
  17.      5. New Testament Bible Study  GEN7ND15.EXE  or G7ND15.EXE
  18.      6. Voice Module Data          GEN7VD15.EXE  or G7VD15.EXE

  26. The GEN7 Desktop program (0) is used with each of the others (1-5),
  27. but the data sets are different.  Each program should be in a
  28. separate directory.  Note that these are programs for evaluation,
  29. and run separately, so each directory should have the GEN7 Desktop
  30. program within it also.  Note also that it is possible to run the 
  31. programs with only one copy of GEN7 after the separate modules are 
  32. registered.  This approach was taken to minimize the amount of disk 
  33. space required to hold these data sets.

  35. To install these programs (if you do not have a distribution disk 
  36. with an install program on it), first copy GEN7G15.EXE and the 
  37. desired data set to the directory that will be their home.  Next
  38. type:
  39.  
  40.         GEN7G15 or G7G15
  41.  
  42. followed by:
  43.  
  44.         GEN7??15 or G7??15
  45.  
  46. where the ?? is one of the two characters defined in the above
  47. list.  Answer yes to any questions about overwriting existing
  48. files.  Make sure that GEN7HD15.EXE is on at least one disk
  49. shipped, for every shipment.  The help data is required to
  50. run GEN7, but because of the sizes of the files, this one piece
  51. was put into its own data set (GEN7G15 fits on one 360k disk).
