║ UpCheck 5.01 - The quick setup method ║
╙───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────╜
SO YOU HATE WAITING TO SET THINGS UP, ME TOO!
1. Step one read the -disclaimer- in UPCHECK.DOC, it will provide the
startup code...
2. Next create a directory to hold the UpCheck files (MD \UPCHECK)
3. Extract the archive into the directory (PKUNZIP UPCHK501 \UPCHECK)
4. Run the UpSetup program and enter the startup code
5. Set up your options
6. If you are installing for RemoteAccess 2.0 then continue otherwise
skip to step 11
7. Run the RACONFIG program, change the Options -> Files -> Upload Scan
to "\UPCHECK\UPCHECK.EXE \RA\EXITINFO.BBS @ *M *N" or whatever your
path is..
8. Make sure that swapping is enabled and that you will have about 450k
free memory (sorry about the size, but it's not my fault. Most virus
scanners require about 410k)
9. Make sure that in the Manager -> File areas -> Upload Scan is set
to "Yes" in the areas that uploads are processed into.
10. That's about it! You're almost done! Skip to step 12.
11. If you are not running RA2, then you will have to consult your guide
on calling an upload scanner. The parameters that are required to
let UpCheck run properly are:
a) the drop file (DOOR.SYS/DORINFO?.DEF/EXITINFO.BBS
[type2]/SFDOORS.DAT)
b) the full path and name of the file to be processed
(c:\files\check\NEWFILE.ZIP)
So you'd call it like this:
\UPCHECK\UPCHECK.EXE \BBS\DOOR.SYS \FILES\NEWFILE.ZIP
12. Well UpCheck should maintain it's files fine, and will also locate
the configuration file in the directory that UPCHECK.EXE resides
(so you don't have to change directories or anything) The badfiles
listing is an ascii list that can contain upto 255 file names or
crc's to remove from the processing archives. (for crc adding use
the /A option of UpUtils, file names can be entered using a simple
text editor)
13. You're done! (don't forget to register, hey, it's cheap!)
