Fantasy Software UserManager
v1.01
For
Remote Access 2.0x
UMGR │ What is the Fantasy Software UserManager ?
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
│
Simple :-), it manages the users for you.
It upgrades their level after xxx calls made, or xxx
messages written or xxx Kb uploaded. It also sends new
users a welcome message. It downgrades users after their
subsciption date has been expired, it can also send
a Happy Birthday message to users, and last but not least
it can backup your usersbase {+}.
In the future it will have a very nice and good feature!
You would be able to manage your users via netmail.
Easy for you Co-Sysop when you are very busy since he can
upgrade new users to a normal level. Or Downgrade users
that are fake (or something like that).
The program has been well tested and no bugs were experienced.
But it was tested by a small team of Sysops, so it could be
that you experience problems, please let me know!!

UMGR │ How to install UserMgr
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
│
This shouldn't be a big problem.
Unpack all exe and example files into any directory
(e.g. \ra\usermgr)
Just run Setup.exe
And then you could run UserMgr.exe in your maintenance
batch file every night.
About setup:
With 'TAB' you can change between YES and NO (or any other
choise), an enter to confirm your choise. Next time you run
setup it will read your old configuration so you can edit
your choises afterwards (e.g. to correct)
The input for the msgs written to the users is in the
following format:
HELLO.<LANUAGE NUMBER>
So if your 1st language would be Dutch then Hello.1 would be
the msgs you write to users who selected that language.
If english is your 2nd language HELLO.2 is the msgs you write
to the users that have the english lanuage selected.
If German is your 3th language HELLO.3 is the msg you would
write to users who have selected the german language.
Examples are included!!
Important note:
If you wish to use the 'Downgrade after Sub. Date expiry'
the Sub. date should be in AMERICAN format else funny things
could happen.
Welcome message: A user is being welcomed the day after he
logged into your BBS (most likely in your maintenance
event somewhere in the night)
The macro's you can use in the input files you can find in
MACRO.MGR
The Usersbase backup funcion is a bonus feature that will
only work if you have registered. It will backup your
users.bbs and usersxi.bbs file and compress it with pkzip
or arj. Note that PKZIP gives a better compression rate!
If you experience a bug please send me some info on what
happend, what he was doing etc. If you experience a Runtime
error please send me the crash address
(e.g. Runtime Error xxx at xxxx:xxxx)
