IMPORTANT IMPORTANT IMPORTANT!
RA USERS! Make sure in BATS.CFG you have EXPANDED or COMPRESSED for your log
types! If your dates are way out of wack, this is the reason.
VERY IMPORTANT! VERY IMPORTANT! VERY IMPORTANT!
Remote Access does not put the year in the EXPANDED log format which causes
BATS to acts strange under certain situations. To provide 100% compatibility
with BATS, ensure your log format in RACONFIG is COMPRESSED. This will
prevent any date conflicts which may arise. If you have EXPANDED logs
archived, there is HOPE, just ensure that the logs are all for the same
year, and then set the DOS date for that year, scan them, then set the
date back. This small date problem is not my fault, it is a shortcomming
in the RA expanded log format, and I have addressed this issue with Andrew,
hoping he could stick the year in there, I have had no success to this date.
Please understand, RATOOLS can read EXPANDED logs, it just uses the current
DOS year for the year, as long as you are NOT scanning old logs from last
year, you should have no problems.
