Online Archive Master 6.0

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Online Archive Master allows you to view the contents of archives on
the BBS without having to download the file(s) first. You may read
text files within the archives, and you may also extract individual
files to be downloaded separately.

Group Change: Some BBSes have several file groups setup. This option
allows you to change file groups, allowing you to view
files from all available file groups on the BBS.
Area Change: This option allows you to change file areas, allowing you
to view files from all available file areas on the BBS.
File Listing: This will display a listing of all the files in the
currently selected file area.
View Archive: View an archive file. You will be prompted for the
filename of the archive to be viewed. Enter the file-
name of the file you want to view. Only the current
file area will be searched, so be sure you are in the
proper file area before trying to view a file. To list
the available files, use the File Listing command.
You may use wildcards when entering the name of the file
to view. Example: GAME.ZIP or GA*.* are both accepted.
NOTE: You may enter the file NUMBER (displayed to the
left of the filename) rather than the filename, if you
prefer. You *MUST* enter a '#' sign before the number,
or the program will assume you are entering a filename.
Example: #3 would view the file with file number 3
displayed beside it.
Help: Displays this help file.
Info: Displays some program information, such as the author's
credits, current version number and date, and where the
latest version can be found.
Contents of EXTRACT.ZIP: This will view the archive "EXTRACT.ZIP".
This file will contain any file(s) that you already
extracted. Extracting a file from an archive places
it in EXTRACT.ZIP, allowing you to download specific
files from an archive, rather than downloading the entire
archive.
Quit: This will exit the program and return to the BBS.
When you are viewing an archive file, you will have several options
available to you. These options are:
Read: This option allows you to read a text file that is inside the
archive. This is very handy for finding out what exactly a
program does BEFORE you take the time to download it!
Extract: This allows you to "remove" specific file(s) from the archive
to be downloaded separately. This can save you from down-
loading a very large archive file when all you really needed
was the documentation, for example. All files that are
extracted are placed in a file called EXTRACT.ZIP.
Top: This simply displays the files within the archive, starting
at the top of the list.
Next: Shows the "next page" of files, if there are more files in
the archive than will fit on one screen.
Prev: Shows the "previous page" of files within the archive.
Flag: This allows you to flag one or more files. You can flag
several files, and the read or extract the flagged files.
Unflag: Unflag a flagged file.
Quit: Quit and return to the main menu.
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Note that on some systems, the main menu will NOT appear. This is
due to the method in which the program is used. Some systems have the
program setup as RemoteAccess' internal archive viewer, which allows
users to view archive files directly. This will directly show the
archive desired, without having to change file areas and type the
filename, so the main menu is not needed.
