General
=======
To invoke the Sprite Machine type:
SMACHINE
The Sprite Machine needs 487k of RAM, a VGA or compatible graphics adaptor
and a Microsoft compatible mouse, if you are going to use a mouse that is.
This program uses the 320x200 256 colour VGA mode, so obviously a colour
monitor is highly recommended.
If you are using the keyboard, use the cursor keys to move the mouse cursor
around the screen, HOME to emulate the left mouse button and END to emulate
the left mouse button.
Use Shift / HOME and PG UP to hold the mouse button down, and Shift / HOME and
PG UP to release it again. The HOME and PG UP keys on the keypad are used
when with the Shift combination.
Use Shift and the cursor keys to move the mouse cursor faster than normal.
Again, use the cursor keys on the keypad when used in conjunction with Shift.

Hard Disk Installation
======================
If you intend to install this program onto your hard disk, simply make a
subdirectory for it and copy the files from this disk into it. Your
subdirectory should have a further subdirectory within it called DATA. Again,
copy the files from the subdirectory called DATA on this disk into the new
DATA subdirectory on your hard disk. Please ensure that the file called
ICONS.DAT is in the current subdirectory when you invoke the Sprite Machine.

Registration
============
The Sprite Machine is a Shareware program, regular users are expected to
register it for a fee of 25.00 pounds. Registration is well worth your while
however, the Sprite Machine is only one half of the story.
When you register the Sprite Machine, you will receive the following benefits.
o The latest version of the Sprite Machine, including the missing
features from the version that you are currently using.
o The Sprite Manager, an animation program that you can link into any
QuickBASIC or assembly language program to produce animations or
games of your own, quickly and easily. This is a graphics toolbox
that uses the files that you create with the Sprite Machine.
o A screen capture and display program, ideal for capturing images for
the Sprite Machine to edit.
o A program to convert old CGA format image files into the new VGA
format image files.
o Printed documentation for all of these programs, including examples
of how to program the Sprite Manager.
Please run the DEMO program to gain a good idea of what the Sprite Manager
(one of the above programs) is capable of.
To register the Sprite Machine, send a cheque or postal order for 25.00
pounds sterling with an explanatory letter to:-
Robert Baker
36 Farley Road
Erdington
Birmingham
B23 7TP
ENGLAND
Your registration goods as outlined above will be sent by return of post.
Thankyou very much for supporting the Shareware concept, it's people like
you that keep it alive.
