  2. |  Astrolog 4.10 is a powerful, customizable, and platform independent     |
  3. |  astrology chart calculation program. It is 100% freeware and requires   |
  4. |  no registration fee. :) The full source code for the program is         |
  5. |  available in "C" allowing analysis, modification, and easy              |
  6. |  porting. Astrolog has been widely used on the internet network and      |
  7. |  various versions have been since 1991. Astrolog can do wheel charts,    |
  8. |  aspects, midpoints, relationship charts, transits, progressions, and    |
  9. |  astro-graphy, as well as local horizon, solar system orbit, and         |
  10. |  various influence charts. It supports different zodiacs, central        |
  11. |  planets, and 10 different house systems. Accurate ephemeris files       |
  12. |  covering over 8000 years are available, as well as positions of         |
  13. |  asteroids, Transneptunians, and over 40 stars. It can do EGA, VGA, and  |
  14. |  SVGA screen graphics on PC's, and can do graphics charts in X11         |
  15. |  Windows in Unix environments. Charts may be smoothly animated forward   |
  16. |  and backward and in real time. The graphic astro-graph map is           |
  17. |  especially notable in that it accesses its own internal map of the      |
  18. |  world which can be used to create impressive rotating globes. Graphics  |
  19. |  files may be generated in PostScript, Windows metafile, Windows         |
  20. |  bitmap, and X11 bitmap formats. Astrolog can do a simple form of        |
  21. |  deduced interpretations for many of its charts. Astrolog's interface    |
  22. |  is via command switches and some on screen prompts, allowing the        |
  23. |  program to be driven from and its features accessed via shell scripts.  |
