What Is It?
-----------
This program is an event command line utility that will read
a PCBoard Caller(x) log and produce a text message that can be
imported into the MAIN BOARD message base if it encounters
user password errors.
The import will require TXT2MSG 2.42u - Text to PCBoard 14 &
15 Message Utility [June 29 1993] Copyright (c)1989-93 Robert
Vostreys ■ Faster-Than-Light (FTL) BBS Sysop POB 2315, Stone
Mountain, GA 30086-2315 ■ 404-292- 8761/296-3120/299-3930
Installation
------------
You must have PCBUtility set up in order to use this
program. Once you have PCBUtility set up and configured use a
text editor and edit the file PCBHack.txt in the PCBUTIL
directory. Edit this file to convey to the user what you
want. PCBHack will add some information from the caller log
to the end of this file before TXT2MSG imports it into the
MAIN BOARD message base.
Command Line Use
----------------
Command line syntax is as follows:
Examples:
1) PCBHACK 1
Will read the caller1 (node 1) log from the last
processed record to the end and produce a text
message to each user that has a password error.
2) PCBHACK 1:2
Will read the caller1 (node 1) log from the last
processed record to the end and produce a text
message to each user that has 2 password errors.
I would suggest 2 or 3 password attempts.
