----------------------------------------------------------
02-07-94 ■ Release of Version 2.70A
. Inadvertantly left out the upgraded documentation on v2.70.
added. My apoligizes...
02-06-94 ■ Release of Version 2.70
. Noted an error which I haven't been able to track down on
occassion when entering an H. Seemingly CDC has forced a stuffed
H to go to always goto help. Waiting for a reply from CDC on
this problem.
. Added the ability to use command line input to specify the
confuration file to what ever/where-ever the sysop would like
it.
. Added the ability to log general errors to the normal PCBoard
callers log.
. Added the ability to use any keystrokes when entering messages
to use from ASCII(32) to ASCII (127) in Internet names and
addresses.
. Added the ability to use QFront as well as FidoPCB, and InterPCB
for mail tossing.
. Added the use of customized description lines for input. This was
done to facilitate the use of any foreign language line descriptions
rather than forcing the use of English. Security levels are also
checked if desired.
. Added the ability for sysop's to use an auto-addresser for AREAFIX
/ALLFIX/etc.. so that the sysop no longer is forced to remember
what his passwords are for up to 10 systems. More are available
via request. This can also be used as a general address addressing
program.
09-17-93 ■ Release of Version 2.60
. Corrected a address line which was inadvertly addressing the subject
line on UUCP messages for FidoPCB to the correct method.
. Added the inital (RE)ply command replacement for PCBoard.
. Added a replacement for PCBTEXT comment #612 to allow proper
addressing of messages being replied to.
. Added user definable screens for certain screens in the above
new programs.
. Changed the use requirements for use in registration.
09-13-93 ■ Release of Version 2.50
. Added the ability to pass NO routing commands for FidoPCB to the
message addressing.
. Removed the Prior_A text file as it was not needed to pass a
message to the FidoNet <> UUCP gateway.
. Added the ability for default FIDOPCB routing codes to be a totally
Sysop selectable. Added the ability NOT to pass a routing code for
those that wanted it. Also added the ability to have NO code sent
from the transfer mode selection screen.
. Changed the configuration file back to an 8 line version, after
disguarding a useless line.
. Optimized the algorithm used registration code key portion of
the program to help increase the speed of the check, while yet
maintaining the intergrity of the code.
. Added InterPCB compactability (FINALLY).
. Optimized the code heavily to decrease the size of the program to
about 1/2 of the final orginal size.
. Changed the cosmetic look of all screens, both internal and external
test files. The orginal look hurt my eyes <g>.
09-05-93 ■ Release of Version 2.40
. The seemingly inevitable has happened, the program has gone from
a fully freeware program to a shareware program. during each entry
on a non-registered version a 5 second hold will come up displaying
the version number and the fact that this copy is not registered.
3 new configuration file lines have been added. If you try to use
an old configuration file with this version the program will fail
to work.
09-03-93 ■ Release of Version 2.30
. Added default screens for all existing screens should your decide
not to or can not install the required screens. This was added as
there have been several netmail messages asking what the screens
should look like, as the program was either installed improperly
or the files were deleted from the archive they received. The files
unfortunately are in ENGLISH only.
. Added sound to the error checking. It will only sound on the local
computer's PC speaker, but it will pass an error command to the
screen. It's still rudimentary, but it will be improved.
09-01-93 ■ Release of Version 2.20
. Added two new configuration file options. First the ability to
select whether you are using FidoPCB or InterPCB, (InterPCB
handling will be added in the VERY near future) and whether you
are going to allow the forwarding of Netmail to a UUCP gateway
or not. If not the PPE not defaults to the FidoNet mail screen
instead of offering options to do both UUCP gateway mail and FidoNet.
. Added BASIC configuration file checking. The program will not provide
screen output to the user if the configuration file is not in the
correct format. This will be improved as I get time.
08-02-93 ■ Release of Version 2.10
. Added the ability to use periods as well as numerials in
the InterNet name.
08-01-93 ■ Release of Version 2.00
. Released as an upgrade to offer more configurable of the
Netmail system to account for return receipt security levels.
It seems that there is a problem with having a Sysop security
level at 255 and the return receipt less than or equal to that.
Added a Fourth line to the configuration, and code to take that
into account. Jumped to a version number of 2.00 to clearly
distinguish my program from the hacked version of the same name
seen in v1.20. Code tested successfully on a two system LAN.
08-01-93 ■ Released of Version 1.20 - Skipped
. While in beta test on my system, a hacked version of 1.10
turned up found. Code was altered apparently to allow for
LAN operation, which would the real code (v1.20) in reality
would allow. This "new" code did not properly address mail
in some screen modes for those not operating LANs.
07-18-93 ■ Release of Version 1.10
. Cleaned up the code and added another screen for cosmetic
purposes for those who have sufficient security to be able to
select the mode of mailing from the program. This fulfills
all existing requests for changes.
. Fixed a small flaw that was not properly showing the Netmail
priority screen.
07-16-93 ■ Release of Version 1.09
. Added the means to select a mailing mode based on a security
security level.
07-15-93 ■ Release of Version 1.08
. Added the means to select a default mailing mode based on a
security level. Configuration file grows again to 3 lines vice
2.
07-13-93 ■ Release of Version 1.07
. Added code to allow checking of security level in the
configuration. Configuration file is now made up of 2 lines
vice 1.
. Due to a large number of complaints about not being able to
run the propgram, documentation has grown to cover my full
setup, in hopes that this will correct a majority of the
problems that I have received via Netmail, in getting it
setup properly.
06-27-93 ■ Release of Version 1.06
. Forgot to add the configuration file with the released 1.05
version making it impossible to run the program. Added. Also
corrected the documentation to read .CFG vice .CNF and more
clearly explained what the configuration file is actually
made up of.
. Made several cosmetic changes to make it look more seamless
to normal PCBoard message entries.
06-25-93 ■ Release of Version 1.05
. Added the ability to abort the netmail entry via a simple
Enter key strike if someone can't figure out which type
of mail they want to send.
. Added a few cosmetic changes to the menu.
06-24-93 ■ Release of Version 1.04
. Removed secondary screens to make the program easier to use.
. added checking inorder to allow the program to work with all
type of message screen settings.
. Removed the output of message screen setting which was ruining
the required message header setup, thus not allowing the message
to be exported.
06-23-93 ■ Release of Version 1.03
. Added the ability to use an external configuration file inorder
to automatically address the message due to be sent to sysop
set FidoNet <> UUCP gateway.
06-22-93 ■ Release of Version 1.02
. Added the ability to select the type of Netmail a user wants to
send, from a menu.
. Added the ability to send mail to a user-addressable UUCP domain
via a FidoNet <> UUCP gateway
06-21-93 ■ Release of Version 1.01
. Moved all menus output to sysop designable menus, to help aid in
making the program language independent.
06-20-93 ■ Initial Release of Version 1.00
